Hermes Miami (Design District)

thank you doves! but i am sure the BH celebration was fabulous also! my one gripe is that they did not do a special bag charm like the BH palm tree!!!! i do not wear my 90 cm silks so i didn't get the FP miami scarf... but i would have loved a bag charm!!! flamingo maybe?!??!!! hear me Hermes gods???

So I made it down to this new boutique and it is certainly beyond gorgeous! The architecture of the building is amazing and the boutique itself a real work of art.

Everything is laid out beautifully and the thing that struck me the most is that each department is pretty much of equal size including the leather goods. As a long time shopper of the store on Madison Ave which has one entire floor for purses and wallets, this boutique has, at least to me, a surprisingly small amount of real estate for the purses. You need to go through the first two floors to get to the leather goods on the third floor. The message to me is that Hermes is trying to market itself with all of its products. And they did a very good job of it.

I'm not complaining because I do purchase from every department anyway but it's clear they are trying to promote themselves as a manufacturer of more than just bags.

As Juliet mentioned, the new store is absolutely stunning, very modern and huge... My friend who has been to the Beverly Hills store said it reminds her of the BH store but the Miami store is larger. Very modern with glass walls, high ceilings, very light and airy feel with lots of sunlight streaming through.

Grand opening on November 5 they were not selling anything, just the ribbon cutting ceremony at 6:30 pm, and then at 8 pm the after party at Soho Studios where they transformed the huge space. It was a fantastic party! Lots of special photo areas where you scan a special chip you were given and the pictures were automatically sent to your phone. Along the right, there were special rooms divided into a game room, a restaurant, and a Latin club, and all along the left side was the stage with performers. Non stop yummy food and special mixed drinks and champagne.

November 6 was when the new store officially opened and they started selling stuff.

There is a special scarf, the Flamingo Party but in colorways offered before, only new thing is it says "Hermes Miami" in the bottom left... These are the 2 colorways with Hermes Miami:

Back to the store... 3 floors as mentioned before... First floor when you enter is men and home goods, second floor is fine jewelry in the back, enamels and silks in the front, and 3rd floor is leather, women's wear and shoes.

Yesterday November 6 there were many bags being offered and shown left and right! Personally saw offered to others: craie B25 PHW, Kelly 25 or 28 sellier (couldn't be sure from a distance) rose tyrien, black shiny croc B30.... My friend saw matte fauve croc B30, black B30 PHW being shown to others [emoji12][emoji7][emoji7][emoji7]

There is also a special table with the new Apple iWatch on the 3rd floor, with Apple representatives to show you the watches. As of yesterday, they had all models available for purchase!

On display from what I remember was blue glacier Lindy 30, maxi box blue atoll, jypsiere blue glacier... Some other special bags...

Oh and they had a - ready for this - himalaya croc CDC with pave diamonds [emoji33][emoji33][emoji33][emoji33] (first time ever seeing a himalaya CDC)... And it was bought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So yes the opening was very well done and the party was spectacular. The store really is gorgeous and very spacious. At the boutique the champaign and the hors d'oeuvres were flowing non stop.
