Im so in with Kelly 25 VdG. It is amazing. Best neutral. Perfection beyond. I my new Vert de Gris.
Likefor the first, quite worry about the color when SA offered. When go and see, fallin in with the neutral tone.

I think it would look great with all of them! I have a KP in vert olive, and it's very similar to VDG. Military olive with very underhanded grey/brown tones. Anyway I love it because it pairs well with pretty much every color, including the pastels you mentioned (only color that I don't love with it is navy, but even then it's workable with the right look)

Any preference for retourne versus sellier. My other dilemma is that it is retourne and I am partial to sellier. I love the vert de gris color (as I do see it is a lovely neutral), size, hardware and the overall look. When I try it on the difference between retourne and sellier is inconsequential but, when I stand it up I can tell. I would love some opinions. Thank you

With k28, I would prefer retourne. K25, sellier. But that's just me, speaking as a petite person! I think if you're taller, k28 sellier could look okay too - but sellier lends a formal look to a color that's pretty casual (essentially an army green), which may look slightly odd. I would go for Retourne most likely, as long as I didn't have too many already

Thank you this is very useful. This would be my first K, and like you, I am petite. Your reasoning makes very much sense to me. Further, this is probably why when I try on the Retourne it looks "just right" considering the more casual/neutral color and due to my size it allows me to be just neutral of casual versus formal. I do understand now the necessity to try something on as I had assumed the k28 sellier in a neutral would be a better fit for me. I will persue the Retourne.

Absolutely agree with classicgirll. I got my first kelly recently and requested for a k25 sellier only as i've tried the k28 sellier on before and it was just too big and boxy on me (I'm 5'4). For k28 I would definitely go retourne as you'll get more everyday wear out of it.

Hello all! Forgive my newbie question, but is vert de gris a seasonal color or is it a core Hermes color? I’d love a K25/28 in vdg but unsure how hard (harder than any K/B normally is…) they are to come by. Thanks for any insight!!
