My experiences in Vancouver WERE always positive until yesterday. This is new. All of my experiences at the Calgary store have been fantastic…..
Rami is lovely to deal with !!!

i’m sorry to hear that bad experience you had. I highly recommend calling the store and speaking to a manager about it. This behaviour of their SA’s need to change

I visited the store today and one of the managers told me that they are still doing quota bag offers but they are one year behind. Artisans were off work last year due to the pandemic so now they are still filling last year’s requests. Some clients have been waiting over a year for their bag.
I'm relatively new to Hermes and am curious what do people do while they wait for their quota bag offer with over a year's wait time - ie after you have reached a certain spend (2+:1 ratio) , do you keep on buying regularly on a monthly basis or do you stop and wait for the offer?

i still go into the store buy a lipstick or something very small and connect with my SA! If you don’t go - she may forget!

I wonder why it’s slower in Canada though? Just the Canadian market in general is not as significant? Of course we would expect the delay to be worldwide but im not seeing this impacting US as much as some are still easily getting their 2 quotas a year :(

Like everything else in Canada...we are often the forgotten ones put on the back burner.

@ChanelCanuck @iloveelmo Sad to hear that the experience that you both had here in Van were sub par; this is totally unacceptable. As a walk in client, the service should be similar to those who have booked an appointment, at least that's what it was like before the pandemic hit. I remember being able to walk in, connect with an SA in a timely fashion and getting suberb service but these days, I don't venture into the boutique without making an appointment with my SA. I get the feeling that most clients tend to book an appt rather than just walk in unannounced which means most SAs are booked up, so when one is freed up, they would have to attend to the walk in client, and they're probably tired. Of course that doesn't excuse them from providing lacklustre service. When I visited the boutique a few weeks ago, they seemed a little short staffed which makes me wonder if they are having retention issues with their employees. Anyway, having a regular SA would probably be the route to go, esp if you are seeking a quota bag, and it's my understanding H will only establish an account for you based on the address on your driver's license. So if you live in Vancouver, you cannot set up an account in Toronto for quota bag purposes. If you are not gunning for a quota, then I guess you can shop wherever you like.

Any great SA to recommend? I'm from Manitoba and there's no Hermes boutique (or any luxury store here in general). I've been wanting either an Herbag or a Garden party. Also, I'm new to Hermes so I'm not sure how to go about getting an SA over the phone. I don't have any purchase history either. Any tips will be appreciated!

I guess we have to continue show our love for H in order to get an offer..:P I wish I can just go in and pick up something small but every time I visit my SA, she will have a bunch of things prepared to show me and I couldn't say no coz she always picked things that make me go ... Lol

I've been shopping at the Vancouver store for a year now, the best approach is to call the store in advance and book an appointment with any SA there. Most of them are great, I've always had a pleasant experience at the store. I think Saturdays and Sundays are reserved for walk-in customers.
Most items are in stock in Vancouver, probably not always on display. I have seen quite a few Herbags in various sizes and more recently a Garden Party 36 in a light cream colour, perhaps Craie or Breton, which was lovely. Calling the store and booking an appointment in advance is the way to go.
Best of luck and Happy Shopping!

Canada receives a smaller inventory or allotment. Combined with decreased production in France resulted in the longer wait.

Keep shopping regularly will keep you active on their client lists and increase your chances for the bag

Anyone had any luck getting Picotin 18 or 22 from Vancouver in the last couple of months? Just wondering how the inventory is like.. is it okay to just ask my SA for it or do i go on a long waitlist for it?

I got a Picotin 18 in June and my SIL got one in July. I think it's okay to just ask your SA for it. I think I reminded SA in May I wanted one and got one in June.
