i am very interested in knowing the fact too, since i was under the impression that international travellers were charged 20% less than those outside duty-free zone because there is no involvement with GlobalBlue (or other tax return service company)So even if you shop at H duty free in CDG you don't necessarily save on the full VAT that you would get refunded if you shopped at a H boutique?

I was flying from
CDG to Edinburgh and did end up praying city price because I was not leaving the eu
However I went to CDG again a couple weeks ago and was told I could ask for a refund form and then get the detaxe once I left Europe.
In CDG is just 10%
Thanks! Guess if possible it's better to get at boutique then if leaving the EU to get more VAT refunded.
It really depends
The one time I shopped at CDG they had a beautiful selection and it was worth paying the city price and not get the tax refund
Had I known I could get the refund would have been better but it was still cheaper than USA
Oh and the other time I shopped at CDG with the price lowered (10%) they had a good selection of scarves so I got them there
That is true. Never know what you will find in the airport vs boutique. CDG doesn't offer personal shopper service that allows you to reserve 24 hrs in advance like heathrow right?
Schiphol Airport yesterday
Was shown a cute little TPM Evelyne by a lovely SA but I passed on it since it was only available in orange.
Has anyone ever spotted CDCs at the Hermes at Heathrow?
