I took my Constance elan for tax back today at the airport, but the staff processing my tax back asked if I'm going to bring the bag back to AUS, if yes, i will have to pay the tax again when I return to AUS, is this normal?

There's other quite a lot of things that I took for tax back but she only picked on the Constance, I'd never been asked for this before, is it true?

Yes. In theory the tax refund is supposed to be for goods that are leaving the country permanently. There's always the possibility that you'll need to pay tax when you return, but I don't know if this is just the luck of the draw or whether there is a record from the tax refund office that's checked when you get back. I'm guessing the former.

Hi all, I'm a new H lover and I am keen to purchase a etoupe 30 Birkin in epsom leather with ghw. Would anyone know of my chances in Melbourne? It seems like it is getting harder and harder. I've done a lot of research into this, but I'm still not sure of the 2012 Hermes situation here in Aus.

Btw, I'm actually a Tassie girl. I come over to Melbourne every now and then, but I can't casually 'drop in' every day/week/month. Thanks in advance :smile1:

I don't wanna disappoint you here but etoupe b30 w ghw is really hard to score in Melbourne!

Haha, that's okay Chloe_P- Thanks for your answer. It's what I expected really. I remember reading somewhere that ghw is harder to come by in Melbourne and I know that Etoupe is very popular. I guess I can only try, otherwise I'm going overseas later this year and I might try my luck there or I'll have to go the reseller way...but I don't really want to do that.
