bella10 - I get what you mean...I hope the pricing is not overinflated too. right now most premium brands are marked up pretty high (bottega for example is approx 60%++ higher). if you compare the price you can almost include a short trip and have a holiday, so I choose to have both --- the holiday and the goodies, KWIM? ;)

Ms. Priestly - good to see you on this thread - the more, the merrier. I was told that they were unable to order a lot of birkins due to budgetary constraints. the interior itself will cost SSI, and it is sooooo expensive. I wonder if they will also have a croc birkin with diamonds for sale on the opening --- which is the norm in an opening event (those I have been to anyway).

I'll be happy to meet with you anytime (I'm in manlia now) let me know when you're free...

Ernskie - come on down!

LadyRider - that's what I was told as well...you will get your birkin (or kelly) soon, sending you positive vibes :flowers:

to members in manila ~~~ I was thinking that it might be a good idea to establish a local tPF group. since so many members here love the brand and are very knowledgeable. we may be a valuable resource to each other in educating each one to protect ourselves from fakers. sorta --- "I'll show you my H if you show me yours" kinda thing :p
I am sure the fakes will eventually multiply as well...comes with the territory (yikes!).

PM me if you are interested...cheers!

looks promising.

I can already see the price tag on the Birkins: PhP 550,000.00

And can hear my mother exclaim, "Kalahating milyong piso para sa bag? Ano ba yan, gawa sa ginto?" Haha

^^^lol^^^
exactly what my mother would also say.....
With that price, you would be better off flying to Hawaii, get your birkin and vacation at the same time esp since our taxes are the among the lowest in the states.....

great to know tpfers in manila yay!!!!

haha allanrvj - super funny!

LadyRider - you know Mr. or Mrs. Huang enough to get invited? :D

i'm so glad to know HK is cheaper than in the US. nearer here too! so i hope we'll be going to HK soon.

BTW, there are fake Lindys in GH already! :faint: birkins sell for 10k

then my mom saw the fake Lindy and said - Ang mahal naman ng bag mo! 35,000?!!!! nasisiraan ka na ba ng bait?

....if she only knew how much it really is

It's about time they open one up in Manille. There is H sac named after the city. Does this mean the H store will not be corporate owned but rather be a franchise? I hope the prices will not be insanely double. I also hope they train well their sales staff to be nice and polite rather than cough an attitude towards shoppers.

No....the bag is named after the name of that hook it has on one side. It's a special hook that you usually find on sailing boats....;)

Hehehehe even about months before MB was about to close shop, I was already told that it will become the H store! The store supposedly will be placed at the rock garden between GB3 and GB4.

But when MB decided not to continue their contract with Ayala, SSI opted to get that place instead of building a 2-level glass structure in the middle of the 2 Greenbelt buildings.

Naku that is true in GH! The more expensive ones come from Korea daw! The birkins fetch as much as 30-40,000.00pesos! :bagslap:

Well, sadly, there will always be counterfeits as long as there are people buying them!

As of this time, VIP clients of H Manila are already lined up for their Birkins. I heard through the grapevine that a regular Birkin is around P 500,000.00. I wonder if they're going to have enough Birkins on stock for walk-in clients?:thinkin:

Allan - you got the pricing right there:D

Rox_Rocks, PP & to all TPF kababayans: Would it be nice to have a TPF meet in Manila for the holidays? Please let me know or send me a PM, my office is right beside Boni Hi-Street. I would love to meet all of you.:D

there are VIP clients already? but the store has not freaking opened yet! ugh. even in H there are nepotism and cronyism!:tdown:

I won't be able to join the meet, if there's any. I'd only be there for about 2 weeks and I haven't been there for two years. I'm fully booked.

Luxury industry in the Philippines proves a valuable concept: the money cycle. SSI and other luxury goods providers claim that the reason why their prices are high is because of the steep luxury tax.

So:

I love it.

me too,hahaha!

Well....you know how it is out here.:p

We'll try to hold a TPF meet soon. When you're here and if we're lucky that you have free time (any cancellation perhaps?)..maybe you can join us even for a couple of rounds?;)

hindi pahuhuli ang Pinas!

i guess the main reason why they're finally opening one in Manila is because of the growing number of hard-hitting Pinoy H clients from their VIPs lists at their HK and Singapore boutiques.

I sure hope they don't price H items like crazy. SSI should learn a thing or two from LV. where they price their items at a manageable 1 to $200 diff from US prices (tax included). that's why the LV store at GB4 still has plenty of clients.

:yahoo:Thank you very much Ms. rox_rocks and Ms. Priestly for the wonderful time kanina!!!

Next time sana there will be more ladies to join us para mas masaya!

Until next time!!! Take care always and Goid bless :yahoo:
