We went to Hawaii on the 1st week of May and I could not complain about anything. I went to each stores 3 times in a week and all I had was a great customer service. They don't have what I want but I managed to score a 1001H twilly and clic clac for hubby. And to my surprise on Saturday I received a letter from the sweet SA.
Kudos for a great customer service Hermes Hawaii 👏👏👏👏

Hello Hawaiian Hermes Fans

I am hopefully going to be in Hawaii in January for a stopover on my way home to Australia (after 6 years im being kicked out of Canada!). Im wondering what the pricing is like there, is it more competitive than the mainland US? I ask because last year i bought a bag from LV that was cheaper, before tax, than the USD price on their website. Im wondering if i should buy up before i leave Canada, or if it will be cheaper to buy in Hawaii (scarves, enamels etc, alas no bags for me just yet!)? Sales tax is not really the issue as i only pay 5% where i am. Im hoping to get a few nice things before i leave here as H is sooo expensive in Australia :p

Thanks in advance for your help!

Prices are the same as mainland USA. It's not like LV. Only difference in final price is tax.

Thats right. Base price is same everywhere in US.
sales tax in Honolulu is 4.5%

So I just double checked and learned something new.

In Honolulu where H stores are located receipts will show a 4.712% tax rate. However scarf1 is right also sales tax is 4.5% but apparently the customer gets dinged and ends up paying a little more which ends up being 4.712%.

It's too complicated to explain without being incoherent and probably TMI so here is a link for the explanation if desired.
