No problem! I meant halfway during my shopping with her, she asked about where I usually buy my Hermes stuff from since I was carrying a Kelly and wearing a CDC and I mentioned my local store in California. She then asked which SA I worked with and i gave the name. Turns out she's friends with the person! Small world...so then she stopped being as helpful. I wasn't sure if it's because she didn't want to take away from her friend or that I already have an SA so I should be just going through that person? Either way, even during payment I asked if she wanted my name to add the purchases on my account and she said no. So my receipt doesn't even have my name and customer number like normal! It's almost like she didn't want her friend to find out I've been shopping with her in Hawaii if he ever pulled my account history. Anyways, my situation was unique and in the many times I shopped in Hawaii, this has never happened.

Oh I see....a little odd but oh well as long as you get what you want 😊😊 I also particular with my receipt, I'd like to have my name on the receipt too. 😉😉

Yea that's a bit odd. I do know that my SA knows others elsewhere. But "cooling" down like that? Wow.
Bump!

I'm about to head to Hawaii and would love some more advice on scoring a B35! Any input is appreciated 😊
Just cross your fingers and try. What seems like eons ago, I knew some people who had np scoring a JPG there when they were scarce in the mainland. Good luck!

Hi ladies and gents

I have seen an old thread that suggested Hermes boutiques in Hawaii tend to have a good stock of Birkins - or at least they get them in frequently. I would like to get my hands on one when I am there in September. Is it still the case that they tend to have regular stock renewals/a good inventory?

I am not especially fussy on colour or hardware.

Thanks so much in advance.

TIA

I used to frequent the Ala Moana boutique when my husband worked in Honolulu. From my observations, I don't think they get stock daily, my guess is once or twice a week.

The stores (there are 2 stores in HI plus duty free at the airport) get shipment almost daily but not every shipment has bags--could be scarves, RTW, accessories, etc. The stores never know what will be coming in. From my experience, they like that you're interested in the brand and buy other non-bag items. My GF went last year and bought wallets, sandals, scarves, bracelets and got no bag that day. When she went in the second time a few days later, she was offered a kelly after purchasing a few more items. I think everyone's experience will be different and it also depends on the SA you meet and what they have in stock at the time. Never hurts to go in often and check both stores. G'luck!

Thanks for the info.. Will try to go there more than once depending on DH mood :p
I really just want to try my luck on getting b/k as walk in without buying anything if possible.
I have my own SA locally and would rather spend it with her since i know for sure she will deliver but just curious if anyone been offered bag as walk in without purchase recently.. one can only hope :)

and thank you mistikat for merging this

kogaru83, just giving you an update.
I went to Ala Moana in the afternoon, greeted by Japanese SA, inquired about scarf and pareo, she was nice and showing me everything, then my husband approached us and I step away looking for bracelets. I told my husband to inquire about Kelly, so the SA took his info but i guess this is where the miscommunication, he gave out my info :( so i was pretty "upset" in my heart, what is the point asking him to inquire if he just gave out my info. the SA was asking is first purchase, whose credit card going to be used, what color and how long are we going to stay. While those thing happen, I saw CDC and asked another SA that just happen to stand there in the CDC display, so she help me get the CDC and get other color and passed those all to the first SA. Decided to get the CDC and 2 scarf and also mentioned if she has any kelly to call me and she asked if we are going to come often to Hawaii or not.

I found out that my husband gave out my info when we step out of the store, so i told him, that no way i am going to get Kelly now because she is going to look me up and know my record. He said my instruction is not clear enough hahaha which is true, i just told me to inquire about kelly and anything but orange, i did not tell him not to say my name in case they look me up, He thinks that since i have history, i might get higher chance and then i explain to him that it might not be the case bla bla bla

So i came back on day 4, go to the same SA and inquire about any bag, she showed me their new shipments, they have variety different color of GP on display - blue atol, gris T, 3 different shade of red (roque pigment, roque pivoine and some other red) and still have other color of GP, they have picotin in grey, so basically they have LOOOOOTs of bags

the SA then told me, i dont remember the exact sentence but implying i shop in my home city i.e. she did look me up and knows i shop regularly at my home store.
So i believe that yes you can get it as walk in if they believe you are going to shop regularly there, I think the whole point of asking info and what color, what size is to be able to offer you something.

FYI, all of the SA in Ala Moana were nice and friendly.

I also asked my husband to inquire at Royal Hawaiian, this time, they are just flat out told him, you have to shop with them before in order to get B and K. so we left lol
I know the game, but that is just too straight forward for my taste :p

Good Luck with your H experience in HI.
