Oh ok, I am thinking if I should go to Hawaii or Mexico, I would love to visit where I can but more H stuff.
I vote for Hawaii. Have always scored something whenever we went and the service is superb. According to the SAs there. It's the biggest store(s) outside of France so lots more inventory and selection. The sales tax is very low as well about 4.7%. The other place I haven't been but have thought of a few times for vacation is Las Vegas--supposed to have 3 H boutiques. I think we may do a quick weekend trip there in the spring to check out the (H) sight. :p Have a good trip!

Headed to Oahu next week for a family trip to the Disney Aulani resort and hoping for a Birkin or Victoria when I go shopping in Waikiki. Will it be frowned upon if my adorable 7 year old little girl accompanies me to Hermes? If I buy my husband a belt will that make me more Birkin eligible?

You will likely be asked to purchase much more than a belt to be offered a bag at Waikiki. They are pretty overt there about the pre-spend. That said, you never know - good luck!

Thank you to the 2 people who responded to my last post. One more question...does it matter what kind of purse I carry with me when I shop at Hermes? I don't own a Hermes (yet...fingers crossed to get something this trip), but I do have Chanel, LV, etc. Better to use a bag from another designer to show I can afford a Hermes and not just window shopping, or to tone it down and use something plainer? Any advice? Thanks so much!

it doesn't seem to matter what you carry, hermes or not. just show an interest in all things H and stock up on RTW, fine jewelry, home items lol.

AZPurseGirl, there are 2 H stores in Oahu. I prefer the one at Ala Moana mall. If you're there ask for an SA named Ala Wai, she's wonderful. Waikiki store is a bit pushy but still nice. I go to Hawaii every year and usually dressed in t-shirt and shorts. When I travel I carry tote-ish bags like Longchamps, Tod's, Bottega, etc. and never had any problems. They're used to loads of tourists. Last Nov I brought my 3 year old twins to the store but after a bit asked my DH to take them for a walk because I couldn't concentrate!

It's a matter of what they have in stock so it's worth checking both stores and check back again during your trip. They don't put all their stock on display so you'll have to ask for it if you don't see what you're looking for. Show that you're serious about buying and genuinely interested in the brand. Leave your name and number for them to call you if something comes in. B&K are hard to come by--nothing came in while I was there for 12 days last Nov. Victoria will be a lot easier--again whatever color/leather they'll have in stock if any. You can sometimes get Victoria on H.com. Have fun!
