Hi has the store at Waikiki Galleria closed already? It seems to be still listed on both the Hermes and DFS websites.
I know that the website simply may have forgotten to update its website. When you call the number (808) 931-2700 you are not able to reach anyone in the voice mail listing service. I was there during July and August and was told by about 4 SAs about the closing, the exact date I am not sure. They also mentioned to me in July and August that no new fall items or merchandise was sent to that location. Most of the SAs mentioned their new job within the DFS, many athe new Chloe stores, how grateful they are to find new jobs. If you are going to Hawaii for other purposes you can simply stroll over to check on the actual closing date for yourself. The boutique is conveniently located accross the street.
I know that same is true in Miami area as the store in the deisgn distract is temporary until late October since I was in the Lake Worth/Palm Beach area last week. HTH
Just returned yesterday from Hawaii and yes the Waikiki Galleria location is closed. There is still a small boutique in the Duty Free airport though, you just need to be traveling to a location not in the US to ensure it's duty free. They had pretty decent stock on Sunday, a SO kelly, Evelyne, Jysperie and Egee clutch (so tempting!). Lots of scarves and bracelets too.
Thanks for the update. I thought it would be sometime in Sept. or Oct. The mall was also opening/enlarging the Dior store. Although I was never able to shop there, I enjoyed popping in with some of my international friends.
hi everyone. just wondering whether you can go to hermes boutiques in hawaii and buy a birkin or a kelly without a prior relationship like you would in paris. family will be taking a trip in april and so i was just wondering. thank you!
Was there in December and there's not set rule in my experience. I preferred the service at the Waikiki store instead of the Ala Moana - but both are good. They are pretty well stocked.
I think both would appreciate history with Hermes in the US before offering you a Kelly and Birkin - there is no harm in asking.... I built my relationship with them when I was there and it work - they offered me bags that are so called 'hard to find' but either the leather or colour weren't for me.

Yes, it is possible but you must expect to drop some cash on other items before broaching the subject of a bag. Good luck!
Totally agree..Was actually told that, but nicely. I'm not sure how much you are required to spend before you are offered one though.
There are 2 in Honolulu. One in Waikiki and one in Ala Moana mall. Plus, there's one small outlet in DFS at the airport. I don't know about the other islands. The services at all the locations are just outstanding.
I didn't mean an outlet like a Prime outlet. It's a small area inside of DFS at the airport.
Oh ok, I am thinking if I should go to Hawaii or Mexico, I would love to visit where I can but more H stuff.
