I will be visiting Hawaii end of July and would like to get B25. This is my 3rd year shopping with my SA. First year I spent 2k and got mini bolide plus Constance Slim. Then I got C18 for second visit with 7k spending. So my question is would the total 9k will contribute to my QB this time? TYSM
@WantbagsHHH, post above from p 164. Also posts from @LaurenHermesLover on p 165 might be of interest

We visit twice a year to Oahu and I started my relationship with my SA at the Ala Moana store a few years ago. We just got back a week ago and she offered me a mini bolide that I’ve been asking for. Since she knows I visit regularly I have a better relationship with her than my home store. She has offered bags to me 90% of the time I visited and other small leather goods. I always text her to let her know my travel dates. Of course that’s my experience, it doesn’t hurt to have a relationship with a SA if you do visit regularly.

Hi everyone! I’m very new with Hermes and I was wondering if anyone could share some advice. I don’t have an established relationship yet with any store and I live in a pretty competitive city so I thought I would try to establish a relationship with an SA in Hawaii especially since tax is cheaper. I’ve been reading the forums and it seems like getting a B/K/C as a first time client in Hawaii is pretty impossible nowadays unless I spend a lot of money the first time. For those of you who have experience with the Oahu stores, is there a chance at getting offered a quota bag if you are a loyal customer who has come multiple times (3+ separate vacation trips) but don’t necessarily spend a lot (no more than 1:1)?

Spend is still competitive. Expect more than one visit and at least 2:1 ratio for a size 25 quota bag.

i would say if you dont care about the size, color and leather then you might be able to get a quote bag for less than 1:1

My data point: got offered a dark blue/navy Constance at about 0.5:1 and a red alligator Constance at about 0.1:1

As @supermommy101 said, the amount you spend to travel there 3x a year, you could put towards your pre spend in your city and probably get a bag there.

FYI. My ratio for B25 is usually around 2.5 to 3, maybe because I am picky about colors. Also, need to factor in hotel, flight and time.
Can you give me more information about what types of colors you were picky about?

Thank you everyone!

I think 2-3x to be offered is quite steep. I liked the idea of traveling on vacation and shopping when it’s a “special occasion.” I guess there’s more to think about.

Do you think if I’m open about size for B/K, leathers, and size (25-35), it might be easier?

Has anyone gotten offered a MK in neutral color recently? I'm feeling very discouraged at my home store and contemplating the idea of going to Hawaii instead. At 3:1 spend after receiving QB in Dec last year. SA knows my birthday is coming up and I have brought up specs for the MK and he didn't say it was impossible. My dear husband is sick of listening to me sulking over this and said to buy resale. But I am thinking I can get a mini vacay to Hawaii every time I shop which is a win-win.

I’ve heard Hawaii doesn’t give mini Kelly’s as a first quota bag without extraordinary spend (six digits+). I agree with @880 that 3:1 for a quota bag is somewhat standard these days and basically the minimum for an MK. I think it would be extremely foolish for you to switch stores at this point.

As usual, @acrowcounted is correct. It’s a fairly long wait even for clients with history. 3:1 would not cut it. If you buy 80k of furniture maybe they can pull out a miracle though.. you never know 😂

@WantbagsHHH Constance is not a quota bag in Hawaii. But sounds like you had a great experience with little spend!
