yes it would be but i wonder if my sa is just saying it to get me to buy more stuff because my sa said that i w0uld have to buy more stuff to get a possible offer  i have been doing so and unfortunately bought 3 pairs of epsom sandals that did not work for my feet ( 3 pairs in various sizes to get the best fit ) so i had to return them and i got another pair of calfskin sandals and some plates. my sa said that returns are not looked upon favorably but will try to put in a good word for me on the qb.. thoughts?
Unfortunately managers look very poorly on returns. If it’s to the point where your SA is actually saying something to you about it, I would guess it’s really not good. Were the purchases and returns made in person or via the mail? Via the mail is even more frustrating because of all the cost associated with shipping it and the customer service for receiving and restocking it. Anyway, what’s done is done but I’ll recommend once again to never buy anything from H unless you are 100% sure you will keep it, even if this means waiting until you can make it to the store to try it on first and/or possibly missing out of the item.

These Purchases and returns were made in person. My SA told me that managers look poorly on returns the first time I returned another pair of shoes back on June. Separately and since then I commented on it again to my SA after the episodes from the last week.

I really hate to return and I agree 100% with @acrowcounted
My dear, nobody including myself enjoys the time consuming process of returns. Given my busy schedule I dislike having to go down to the store to do returns. I don’t even have time to shop. However I had to do these shoe returns because I’m really new to the H journey and it was my first time experiencing epsom leather on my feet — the sizing on the epsom oasis and Oran shoes were off. That said, I will be 100% sure whenever I purchase anything just as yall have advised.

Did they not offer to let you try them on in store? So weird they wouldn’t encourage that. Solves the problem completely.

My thoughts are that if an SA feels like she has to make this point, the SA must feel that this behavior is pretty bad, and she is trying to prepare you for the possibility of disappointment. Your reason for the returns aside (with this many returns, I’m not sure that motives matter), I have heard premier luxury SAs at various brands comment, without mentioning names, that customers who multiple returns like this are more trouble than they are worth.* Post Covid, there are simply too many other clients who don’t have this issue.

Having said that, I think it’s unlikely that a client with large enough multiples, for example 5X, 10X etc., to be close to a QB really should be permanently impacted by something like a few pairs of sandals. While some might appreciate this SA’s honesty, I do think that it’s a bit much for her to so bluntly state or imply or hint that such returns would adversely impact your chances of a QB. (Even if that’s the case). I might not be comfortable shopping with such an SA bc every sale becomes a petty, transactional back and forth. JMO

ETA: you can ask to have the items transferred for you to try on in the store. SAs will do this for regular long-standing clients who they feel are serious about a purchase. In this time of relatively tight stock, it might require a bit more work for the SA and some horse trading, but it’s the best way if you are uncertain

* i am not expressing my own viewpoint here, but one I’ve heard from premier brand SAs.

I guess we shall see. Thr returns went back to a credit which I promptly re-spent on home goods. Moving forward I will be way more wary of purchasing Hermes items since I want to continue maintaining a good relationship with the store, just as I do with other boutiques. If I don’t get the qb then so be it. Sorry but a qb is just a bag for me. I want one but I’m not fixated on it anymore. Other people may beg to differ but that’s just how I feel!

I totally get how you feel being new to H, still trying to figure out sizing and having a busy life. The process is pretty difficult to navigate in this climate of low stock. I do appreciate the advice from @880 saying to send items in the store to try on before you buy in order to avoid returning. Does anyone know if sending to the store and not purchasing is looked down upon?

My local store doesn’t have a lot of my size and I hate driving to the store (50 min drive) ESPECIALLY to return but I have to find a work around(maybe shipping to store is it?). I’ve already “exchanged” a pair of shoes due to sizing and I’m not trying to that again. Oddly enough my SA keeps trying to encourage me to order out ugh but she knows I’m still trying to figure out sizing.

Eta: hopefully my response isn’t OT to hawaii thread and belong in the “building relationship” thread. if so if any has an answer to my above question please @ me in the building relationship thread. Sport to thread jack.

I have not done any returns so I wouldn’t know. I’m a remote shopper but my SA has been knowledgeable enough about difference in leathers and sizes and so far every recommendation in what size to get has been spot on. Crossing my fingers for you that your SA can still work some magic!!!

Dear ladies,
I'm just curious but is there any lady who received a quota bag offer on the second-time visit to the store? I'm planning for my trip to Hawaii in June/July 2023 and I made a purchase history (about 11k including a non-quota bag) on my first-time visit in June 2022. I still have my SA contact number and thinking about buying a watch if this can help.
So this is just what my SA said that because I live here, it's a lot easier for me to get the quota bag that I want. She actually stresses out when customers who aren't local visit sometimes because there's already a low stock and to get the bag that you would want, she'd have to order it. Depending on the day you arrive and length of visit, it might not come. She mentioned that she does try to get what out of town customers want, especially after spending so much and if they're extremely kind (she emphasized that part lol), she feels bad when she's unable to deliver. She might be the exception; I don't know.

I'd suggest reaching out to your SA and letting them know ahead of time when you'd be there. I'm told that if your bag comes before you do, they can only hold it for 4 days. Also, my SA is always pushing watches on me so I'd say that it probably does help, especially the ones with diamonds. But I haven't bought a watch yet and still managed to get quota bags so I guess it really depends. Hope any of that helps. Best of luck!
