can SA order (or even reserve) items if you send them your wishlist? Or is it pure luck depending on the shipment those days we’re in Hawaii?
They can order and reserve items, but like @acrowcounted mentioned, I wouldn't do it more than a week out. I've only asked my SA to hold items for me about a week or so.

On a side note, there seems to be a good inventory of TPM Evelynes floating around here lately. I know of about 5 people that got one this week. I picked up one as well

I’m here now, arrived yesterday. Our room wasn’t available yet so I wandered down to the Waikiki store….only one person in front of me in line and they went straight in, I was only another minute behind (this was about 1:30 pm). I was introduced to a nice SA and I listed the items I was interested in, shoes, belts and SLG’s. We started with belts on the first floor and I immediately eyed the 32mm noir/gold with brushed gold hardware. They had my size (which I was surprised by) and I asked about the various SLG’s I was interested in…no Calvi Duos, one Bastia in a color I wasn’t interested in and no wallets in Bleu Indigo. Up to shoes, on the third floor, and I asked for the Oz mules in gold and the Orans in gold (both tall asks, I’m aware). No luck on the Oz, but the Orans were in stock in swift leather! I was shocked! She offered to ship the mules when they come in and then she mentioned handbags….. I was hesitant, but dove in and told her I was interested in an Evelyne TPM in a neutral color. They didn’t have any but she promised to follow up if anything arrived……4 hours later, I received a call from her….a TPM in Noir was arriving today!
I scheduled an appointment with her and arrived with DH….she was very excited to see me and on our way up to the private table in the third floor she asked if I was familiar with the mini Lindy….I said I had heard of it but hadn’t ever seen one. She asked me if I wanted to see it and I was instantly beside myself with excitement to be offered something so hard to get. She first brought out the TPM and I was surprised at how small it really is…..next came the mini lindy. I’ve honestly never been interested in this style as I didn’t feel it would work on my body type. It was very pretty…..Nata Clemence with PHW. It fit all my essentials easier than the TPM but it was “boxy” on me….both DH and DD (who I FT’d for an opinion), stated that. Long story, but ended up with the TPM….which is what I wanted originally (and the shoes and belt and an H Clic bracelet gift for DD). Very happy with my purchases and if anything on my shortlist comes in, my SA promised to contact me (we’re here through next Saturday). I do have to say that my SA was visibly disappointed that I didn’t purchase the ML, but it just wasn’t for me.
Here’s me with the ML (and new shoes and belt)…..and then the TPM and Clic.
Thanks for letting me share!

Wow, I'm quite surprised that your SA offered you a mini lindy for the purchases you've made. I had to buy up my items in total about $5000 for my ML

Wow that’s a great experience! Would you mind sharing the name of your sa? I’m going to Hawaii in September!

I went in to Waikiki store today, and browsed through the store with a very friendly SA. Ended up buying a sandal, bearn wallet, and belt, then SA offered me a pegase. At one point in my convo with my SA, she asked me if I own any b or k, and I said no. SA told me much higher chance if I come to Hawaii again and contact her. I’m not sure that means there is no way for me to score b or k in this trip… I’m here for another 5 days, I wonder if I should just give up or try to buy a few more for a chance of b or k offer.

It’s extremely rare these days to get a quota bag offer on your first trip to Hawaii (I honestly think there is a policy from the SM against it, perhaps unless you drop six figures). Though if you are interested in a Constance, those are somewhat possible with adequate spending.

I would say to just wait until the next trip. Unless there’s a watch/diamond bracelet you want

I agree, if you want to spend 10-20k on something you have been wanting I think I would do it asap so they have a few days to possibly get you a bag. Otherwise wait until next time.
Tbh I’d want a guarantee from the SA/SM that a bag with your exact specs will be made available in the next few days before dropping 10-20k on some bling. That’s just me though, some have a much greater flexible spend

If you plan on going back to HAWAII then I would leave it there, or request a non quota bag if there’s one on your wish list. I spent a lot on my first trip and didn’t get a qb. The most important thing is to enjoy your trip and not be thinking about whether your going to get the call or not (like I did) hehe. Of course everyone’s experience is different. Many people have been lucky! I would ask yourself how you would feel if you spent 15k and went home with no bag.

Hi guys, just to share my experience in Hermes Hawaii.

I was in Hermès Waikiki and met a very sweet SA who was very smiley. I purchased a cardigan and exotic SLG.I was then interested in a piece of jewellery that cost 20,000 USD (pre tax). This was a piece that I was interested in prior to my trip but could never take the plunge however as I was here to celebrate my anniversary I did consider getting something special to celebrate the occasion. But naturally I would hope to ‘further celebrate’ with a bag.

I had two separate appointments with the same SA (first time was randomly paired and second time was organised by myself). On the second appt I was really really keen on the necklace. She could tell my love for it was genuine.

I then asked if I would be able to Obtain any Wishlist (QB) bag to further celebrate this occasion after purchase of this necklace in addition to everything else and she very honestly replied that their policy is to only offer returning customers a QB. She stated it would not matter if I purchased the necklace or not and that’s why she did not encourage me to buy given she did not want to give me false expectations. (In a very nice way)

I truly appreciate her honesty and have decided to spend the next few days reconsidering as it is a huge sum of money. Also this spend could be in my home store which would be more permissible for me to dictate the exact desirable specifications, instead of a ‘come back and we will see what we can do for you’ . The SA did say pre Covid it was way easier (w enough spend) and almost guaranteed a bag with options of colors ,sizes ,hardware ,leather but due to world wide leather shortage they are unable to meet the demand.

I echo the other posts that it seems very unlikely to obtain a QB as first visit in Hawaii but this was just my personal experience. However I also recognise other posts here which describe experiences being offered sought after bags with non extravagant spend so probably highly dependent on SA luck , although my SA was lovely.

I agree with prior sentiment that for large sums of money I prefer assurance that at least a QB would be offered , but with the shortage it seems that in itself is hard ,much less exact specifications or smaller desirable sizes .
HTH.

I really appreciate how the SAs in Waikiki are straightforward. I returned to Waikiki store for a second time this past year; was prepared to do a bit of spend and really hoping for QB as it was my 50th. I had kept in touch with SA during this time. At that 2nd visit, she actually told me at the start of the visit before i started shopping that they had no stock, even for non QB. (It was in Feb when stock was low everywhere, I think she was being honest). She said they usually get a little heads up about a shipment so didn't expect any changes for the week. I ended up buying some gifts but spent less than I had anticipated (tried so hard, but couldn't find anything I loved!). In the end i was appreciative that she was so upfront from the beginning. This is the tricky part about Hawaii. It's still a big trip to go there and a lot is left up to luck even if you are willing to prespend. I considered making it my main store, but I also really like to shop in person! Perhaps the solution is to move there for a year or two, haha! That would be a true "H journey "!!

Quite literally! I agree the concern is that it’s highly dependent on the stock that arrives when we are in town and that probably changes according to the month/year etc!
