Hermes fans in Abu Dhabi & Dubai

Hi all,

This might sound stupid, but I’ve been buying Hermes ( think lots of orans and chypres) for a couple of years but always from different countries ( Canada, USA, London, Dubai) so it’s fair to say I have no SA. Not even sure if my history would mean anything.

I’m currently living in Dubai and it’s next to impossible to get an SA cause the clients here are extremely rich and my spend would be peanuts compared to them.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get an SA in Dubai? Or even in London as we go there often? Would a SA in London be open to having a long distance relationship?

Does anyone know if there is a prespend required for a picotin 18? I just moved to Dubai and went to the Dubai mall location twice. First time I purchased a pair of oran sandals and the second time a pair of oasis sandals. Both transactions were with 2 different SAs. I didn't like the first one I purchased the orans with but the second SA was very friendly. I'd like to establish a relationship with her. How do I bring up wanting a picotin the next time I go there? Is there a prespend? I'm new to the "hermes game" and find it quite intimidating to be honest.

She can always try her luck but I would suggest for her to consider buying a few items before hand if she is interested in one, prespend is everything here

I’ve now gone to both the Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates boutiques. There was better stock of the footwear in MoE but I preferred the service in Dubai Mall. I managed to get the contact details of the SA assisting me there, so hopefully we can build a relationship there.

Separately, any H fans in Dubai wanna connect? I’m in dire need of brunch and shopping buddies in this new town! LOL.

If u are in the UAE, don’t waste ur quota on a bag you don’t want. Request ur Kelly 25 and with the SO do ur MK.
When I picked my B25 I was told weeks ahead what were the options available for me

Honestly after what just happened with my SA thought that I was just a clear sign to not get the b25 and just keep my original request which is k25. And then keep the MK for the SO.

After the SO I might just call it off with all the quota (from the boutique) I mean do you see currently resellers selling for as low as 60k aed? Just saw a 2025 epsom k25 ghw selling for 68k 😳

Do not risk it with the resellers, especially in our local market. There are a lot of extremely good fakes out there. A k25 can be around 70ish because it's not wanted in the market a lot. If you will buy from a local reseller, make sure that the receipt is from a local boutique.

So my friend who is a VVVIP at hermes (who also struggles with quota bags) told me today morning that she was informed by her SA that the full handover will be completed in a month or two. THIS should mean that getting quota bags should be easier for us. Honestly, it is sooooooooo frustrating with the impossible pre-minimum spend that we have to pay her. Like what do you mean I need to spend 110-120 for a MK? or even dream for a KP.

Imagine, my other friend was told that she needed to spend a 250k from ZERO (so not her total profile amount) to be eligible for a SO. Literally had to tell her that he is lyyyyying because my friend was offered an SO from her SA as a gift because he was leaving and they have been together for like 8-9 years.

My current hunt is for a MK - I am aiming for 90k (half way there) and just order it. I know that my SA is capable of just giving this out because she can be difficult. She LITERALLY gave me a cargo picotin (which awanh she claims you need to spend 10-12k) right after my b25 (and I did not buy anything in between). It was only because my sister was buying from her hoping for a picotin but she couldnt directly go to the store to pick it up so when I went alone, she had to put it on my profile.

I think you should stick with what you like, a kelly25 will diversify your current collection. As long as you have reached your pre-spend, then your SA will continue to try and find you something that you like, but perhaps not the exact same color. My understanding is all pre-spendings (3 years to date) are considered.

I am based in Dubai, I don't shop regularly in Hermes Dubai for several reasons, however I'm very curious to know what is the current prespend ratio? I was told in the store that I need to spend 50K to be eligible for a C18 with the speed of 3 visits, and that its way way more for a B/K which makes me very curious to know.

I also believe that certain good deals would be available due to the urgency of the sale, however always always inspect the bags yourself.

From what I know, its the following with my SA -
B25/K25 - Around 80k-90K

Kelly Elan - I think 60ish from what I understood
MK- sometimes its 120 to 150 (depending if I am catching her on a good day)
C18 - 35-40k
Mini lindy 1:1 ratio
Kelly pochette - forget about it, its so rare
Anything touch is 150 and above
Picotin 18 - if ur new, 15k - if you have a longstanding relationship then she can offer it just like that
Lindy 26, offered no pre-minimum

Idk about the other bags

I'm not sure if I will have the emotional strength build a local relationship TBH given how competitive it is, especially that a big % of my spendings go to FJ and I cannot justify the price difference. I am not new, but my shopping status has been dormant for years as I shop mostly abroad.

I was intending to build a relationship locally due to C being considered a quota bag in my store, but it seems that I will have to go down the rout of resellers if I still feel the urge to have one in the future. I got few smaller

Honestly, I barely shop abroad, but maybe this will change in the future.
The only thing I like from our local stores is that the bag is guaranteed. I was told when will my wishdate be and literally a week before, she called me up and told me every color that was available and it was up to me to pick or wait for the color I wanted. For my B25, i originally requested for an etoupe but when she called me one of the colors available was gris misty PHW and the color honestly was too gorgeous to say no to.
The reason why I am so focused on the hermes game right now is because somewhat I fullfilled most of my FJ items and currently just buying whats new or catches my eye. The other items I wish for are financially impossible haha or currently unavailable as for instance VCA Special orders are currently closed.

As for resellers, Ginza is fairly priced - they always have good deals.


But what I heard from my friend today - our current system might change to the better (to match other stores in Europe) since Hermes full handover will be completed in the next two months.
