Hello, does anyone know the current spend you need for a quota bag, and if you need to build up your spend again for a second offer. A friends SA informed her you need a minimum of 100k spend (not including bags) to even be considered for a B or K.
That’s not okay, but I know non locals who have gotten offers maybe that’s a rule in the AD storeIn Abu Dhabi it's the requirement of 100K+ and being Emirati. My SA clearly indicated to me that unless I'm Emirati, I won't be offered a bag (quota or not). Nevermind the fact that I've lived in the UAE for the past 25 years![]()
Probably, the Dubai stores would for sure cater to tourists and non-Emirati's! Abu Dhabi runs with it's own wild rules and racist policies lolThat’s not okay, but I know non locals who have gotten offers maybe that’s a rule in the AD store
I think you can try to start one locally but at the same time develop relationship w Paris store. No harm having more than one store. You never know if you can get lucky.Hello bumping this thread a bit!
If anyone is still active I’m curious if it is even worth it to start a relationship with an SA in uae based on the experiences I’ve read.
I am able to travel easily so on one hand I am thinking to forgo the uae Hermes experience all together and just travel to Paris when I want to purchase especially as things here are more expensive than anywhere in the world and Paris can be one of the cheaper stores to purchase from. That being said I would prefer to have a relationship with a store near me and although I’m not local I expect me & my partner will live in uae for at least the next 15 years as this is where his company is based.
Id prefer to start a relationship in either the ad or Dubai store since it’s convenient but do you all think it’s a waste of time? Being told they won’t offer a bag bc you are not local is very discouraging I’ve never heard of that anywhere else in the world but at the same time my fiancé (who is not local) walked in Dubai mall and was offered a picotin on the spot during peak time in Dubai so I’m wondering if you can be lucky here with the right people. I haven’t gone in either stores in uae as I’m still deciding where I want to build my long term relationship with hopes of getting my dream bag
Hi, Im a local here based in Abu Dhabi.Hello bumping this thread a bit!

Thank you! I agree I think it’s all about developing the relationship with the SA despite needing to spend a lot more to get noticed in uae compared to other places. That’s generally what I’ve been hearing, I’ve been back and forth to the states more than expected lately so still haven’t had my first visit also trying to save up first so that my first visit will leave an $$$$ impressionHi, Im a local here based in Abu Dhabi.
What you heard is absolutely not true. If you are willing to build a portfolio then you will be offered immediately with a bag - as long as you can reach the 1.5:1 or 2:1 purchase accounts..
Like you said the Dubai Mall is easier to offer bags - but they run out so quickly!!! The best one in Dubai is at Mall of the Emirates.
In Abu Dhabi Hermes recently moved into a new location at The Galleria Mall. Fab place & bigger store!!! But you need to build a relationship with the SA and spend lots of $$$$.
nobody cares where you are from.. and Im sorry if this is what you keep hearing thats not nice to be honest
I believe that H boutiques in GCC countries operate similarly since they all share the same owner. To help you with your question in Qatar, getting a MK it's more important to have a good relationship than pre-spend as I have seen people with 3:1 spend ratio not being offered one.Thank you! Have you been successful with mini Kelly in uae? I imagine that is 2:1. I believe also the uae accounts are all linked so your purchase history will still show whether ad or dxb
Bumping again for any purchasing luck for tourist quota or non quota. Will be traveling to the UAE for NYE. Thanks
