Thank you for your reply, I believe there are some SAs that are more direct (spend x and receive a bag) while others play around… that’s what I realized after talking to some friends..
Unfortunately this kind of bargain exists in UAE and it really makes the whole experience a bit unpleasant. For now I have nobody to recommend because my current SA is always a bit "lost". He remembers me but always forget to let me know when even other things from my Wishlist come to stock such as shoes or scarfs or ready to wear and I always have to remind him about to check this and check that. Completely other experience from what I had when I was living in other country.
They also have very low stock so if you travel I believe it can be easier to try your luck elsewhere. Other option is to find one of Arab male guys or Chinese also male and be very direct that you will buy some jewerly or watch (if you don't mind spending more) but in exchange you want a bag and see what's gonna happen.

Hi all! hope you've all had a good summer and looking forward to an enjoyable winter, and hoping for more stocks to come into the UAE stores once the ateliers in France reopen.

My SA at DM left the country and since then I have not been able to find another nice/ attentive SA who doesn't constantly say 'no bags' or 'out of stock'. I have kind of given up finding items in store and resorted to just looking on the website to get bags and other popular stuff. So i end up with nothing much to buy in store except scarves, men's accessories and some fashion or fine jewelry. Can you share what are you guys are getting from the actual stores? Homeware and gifts? It's a bit annoying because the SAs won't keep in touch and let you know when new stocks of an item you're looking for come in.

Hello ! The sad thing about it here all SAs are very transient once you invest in a relationship with a manager or a SA assistant they leave unless you have the contact details of older ones who are still here . You really can’t ask for contact details or anything from the SAs sadly they are not allowed to share their details with clients at all and they are really strict about it i dont ask for their details just not to put them in a hot water situation. I just make sure i get whatever i see and like from lip balm and nail polish to mens RTW small leather goods and travel pouches and to be honest i work harder :p by getting reference codes of the items to make their life a bit easier. Enjoy that store be smart by choosing the right less busy time to visit if u want undivided attention.

The good thing in this case is that spend is tied to the store and not the SA so will just be patient and hope they get more stock in. And agree about visiting at quiet times to have a more pleasant experience!

I can't even get a pair of shoes in my size these days unless I magically go into the boutique and find them Nobody wants to keep up at all with wishlists, requests, etc. unless you're VVIP I'm assuming. I think the tourist traffic doesn't help so it's best to go often and be persistent (and purchasing what you like along the way). Good luck!!

I recently tried to purchase some stuff on the website but orders get randomly cancelled even after credit card has been charged and customer service doesnt give reasons why. Right now feeling all kinds of rejection from the brand.

Thank you for the advice! I went in today and was unfortunately rejected for any bags (Picotin or anything else in leather or normal colours). I bought a necklace and the SA gave me his details and noted my colour wish but afterwards when I messaged him thanking him for helping us and inquiring about a Twilly, no response. Meh, let’s see if anything comes to fruition. I wish the Hermes game was easier on us anxiety driven people.

Amazing that you actually even got his contact details! Just keep visiting and spending. After a certain amount you can start a conversation about bags.

Whelp, I’m officially giving up. After two weeks of texting my new SA and calling, I was ghosted so I went in today to get a belt, scarf, tie, and pillow (which were on my list, I wasn’t just buying for the sake of the Picotin). The attitude I got from this guy, I must say, I’ve never been so demeaned and treated like garbage. He ignored me for the first few minutes, then basically denied having stock of the pillow which Customer Service literally confirmed was in stock on WhatsApp, tried to gaslight me into certain things I won’t mention and just treated me and my mom like we were some kind of peasants.

From passive aggressive comments about how they’re located near palaces so their bags are only for the “VIP”, to how I should just go back to Canada to make my Hermes purchases there instead of expanding my UAE profile, to even saying “I never see you wearing any Hermes bags, only these common bags”, implying that we are not worthy of them and that my limited edition Chanel or the Lady Dior I wore last time was a cheap bag. Um excuse me sir? My lizard Chanel costs more than a Birkin at retail It’s one of 20 in the WORLD. I’m sorry, I’m very hell bent on being humble and not using my wealth as a personality trait but for someone to question you and demean the stuff you own because you’re not a local, it’s just ridiculous and racial profiling. I'm not going to be tacky and wear a bag just cause I'm visiting that store. I'm not going to dress head to toe in Hermes (even though I've got enough Hermes at this pint that I could) just to impress you.

He just kept making such inappropriate comments that I felt very turned off. Luxury shopping is NOT this and I’m just so disappointed in the vibes Hermes Abu Dhabi is putting out. Is this the message that’s being put out there? That unless you’re royalty or willing to spend 200k+ monthly on stuff you don’t need, you’re not gonna get even the most basic of bags such as an Evelyne or Picotin, hell, Kelly or Birkin is not even on the table. And on top of that to be subjected to passive aggressive comments about your status as a person of colour or that you should not even try to continue a UAE profile, all the while I’m spending thousands per visit to make this SA vibe with me.

Definitely not going back, I’ll stick to online and resellers or Paris. No designer is worth racial discrimination and inappropriate comments.
