Up til yesterday, I’d been very sad about Emile en Nuit this season. I really like the design and wanted one of the colorways to work but it was like Goldilocks and the 3 Bears: ‘this one’s too muted, that one’s too similar to something else I have’ etc etc.

I’d never even clicked into this cw or considered it and then a mod shot from @LKBNOLA sent me on a quest to try it on. And I’m so besotted! It makes me feel like a character in Alice in Wonderland.

I was very inspired by @julian.f ‘s image of the versatility of her d’Orphee shawl. I don’t know that this pic is as successful but it can pair with red, burgundy, navy and prob also lighter blues, plum purple, rust, beiges and even maybe a green. Essentially the majority of my autumn and winter wardrobe, I’m stoked.

Congrats Jereni, it is perfect on you! It has such a nice balance of colours and the right amount of contrast too! It really makes you glow 😍

I had initially been interested in All'Orto CW6 CW9, but the more detailed photos you all post I think I am gravitating towards CW9 personally for my complexion and the clothing I typically wear. I also don't have any of the CSGMs in pastel colors so it would add more variety. If i don't hear from my SA about it before US Thanksgiving, I will follow up with her after the holiday.

@LKBNOLA - in fact, my mom thinks that I am old, thus I have to be careful what I wear next to my face:smile: hehe:smile: But seriously, her comment wasn't directed at the design in particular (I hope no one takes it too close to the heart as the shawl is spectacular in every right!) I show my mom my scarves and shawls - and am always curious to hear her thoughts as she doesn't know which is grail and which is not, and I know that she will tell me her thoughts without sugar-coating anything (and I have learned not to get upset either - lol). I think gris de chine isn't a flattering base for me to start with (despite me liking the design and CW so much) but compounded with dramatic detail it seemed overpowering on me and resulting in a more mature effect. I am sure there will be ladies that will look fabulous in this CWs - and sadly it is not me! As far as my collection, indeed - I noticed that I feel happier when I re-home scarves, rather when I get a new in (as I have to deal with that so familiar sense of guilt over consumption:smile:))
I know your mom is a useful and honest sounding board for you @Ashanti_Rose. And the shawl is indeed spectacular! So far the blue is my objective favorite, but very one's decision is so particular and ultimately subjective and it is good to know when a color background does not work with your complexion or wardrobe. I used to never think I could wear "naturel" but it turns out that too is an "it depends" rule. IMO it is never the piece itself but just how it works on a person. I love your wonderful CSGM acquisitions, so I hope the guilt isn't too much of a burden!!! :winkiss: My guilt right now involves a plethora of blues, so it remains to be seen if I will add another... :confused1:

I need help deciding which colorway to keep! I prefer the caramel/caban/nois because the design is more distinctive but not so sure it likes me😳. Such a tough decision! Please ignore my quick ties and unstyled hair!

Both are beautiful on you. I would give a bit more advantage to Caramel as I think it looks exquisite!!!

I think the caramel looks beautiful on you! Also, probably more versatile. Having tried both myself (sadly neither worked for me) I found the blanc/noir to be too stark. Also, was not keen that the blanc cashmere/silk fabric of this one felt too transparent. Best wishes with your decision!

They are both beautiful, but I am tilting toward Team Caramel for you-- it looks so rich and elegant on you!

I think it’s more versatile too. Thank you for your help!
