Thanks, audreylita! My concern is that they've barely gotten the new F/W shawls in. I don't mind exchanging for another shawl but worry that they won't have any stock to exchange with. I guess I can keep the credit for a while until something comes up.

Sometimes it's good to just wait for something to come in that you really want. The credit won't expire.

;)

Logged on to h.com this morning to look at twillys and found that they have a new site within the site:

http://usa.hermes.com/la-maison-des-carres.html

This is going to take some getting used to for sure. Not quite certain how I feel about it - I like some aspects, but the background drawings are distracting. Curious to hear what others think...

I hate the new site! I can't find anything! Everything is mixed up. I don't understand the organization. It seems to be by themes that don't make sense to me or colour. I was trying to look at 90 silk scarves and everything comes up in no particular order and they've got silk jersey and dip dye all together. I go to the 140 GM and they got the silk/cashmere together with just plain silk. And they've got menswear mixed up as well. You used to be to see click on a design and see what other colourways were available and that functionality is lost. I was so frustrated I actually sent an email complaining. Why do they want to make it more difficult for their customers to buy things?

Sorry for the rant but I just had to get this off my chest.

I had the same response initially for sure. I think it is just going to take some time playing around to learn the navigation, but I agree that it is not intuitive at all. At the very top left hand corner there is an icon that looks like three horizontal orange rectangles, if you click on that icon you'll get a pop-up menu bar on the left side of the screen that will let you filter by size, color, material, etc.

Just checked it out. On one hand it was neat to be able see all the scarves that are in stock displayed on one page. The search function on the left allows users to sort by size, color, materials, themes or price which is useful. What I don't like is you can no longer seesthe scarf tied to give a better idea of how it may look worn. When you click on 'Knots', it only shows an example of how to tie a scarf but not using the scarf that I was looking at.

It'll definitely take some getting used to.

Hopefully H.com is reading this thread for customer feedback right now :D:D I like the idea but agree with all of the above that it can be improved.

Just checked it out and it's very pretty and visually enhanced. But I personally am not one to fight with websites and if something is too confusing then I simply log off the site which is what I just did.

It's my understanding that the website material is submitted by Paris and has nothing to do with U.S. staff.

I just scrolled through it.

You can also view the scarves by clicking the menu on the top left, but it only shows the 90s, even if you click the other sizes. They must still be "enhancing" it.

This! ^ I wish they had left that option, it's very useful.

Thanks - I never noticed that. I also discovered that if you click on one design on the bottom right of your screen a colour box will come up and if you click on that you can see other colourways in the design. I still hate what they've done though.

It's been awhile but H.com managed to send me a wrong size bracelet. This is the third time they've sent me a bracelet in a size other than what I ordered.

So sorry that happened to you! I agree with the others that the new site for scarves is horrendous. I really dislike it. However, my shawl addiction has grown to mythic and ridiculous proportions over the past few seasons so I am going to try and look at it as a blessing in disguise. I won't be buying much from H.com for awhile for fear of mistakes like yours in sizing or worse. Hope they send you the right one and soon!

This site never ceases to amaze.

I put one item into the shopping cart. Scrolling through I place a second item into the cart, a simple twilly. I see two items in the cart and continue through the site. Ready to check out, I click on the cart and lo and behold there is only the first item in there. The twilly has disappeared.

So I go back onto the scarf section which is a cumbersome task in itself, find said twilly, and add it to my cart. And I see that there are now two items in the cart.

Excellent. I begin to check out and see that suddenly there are three items in the cart. You guessed it, it's two twillys.

This is not the first time something like this has happened which is why I am hyper vigilant at checking and rechecking what's in the cart before pressing the purchase button.

UPDATE!

Just going to pay for the purchase and they have changed the twilly in my shopping cart to a Grand Manege 56" x 56" scarf while still showing a picture of the twilly in the cart! Deleting the scarf entirely, there is no telling what they're going to send me.

Quelle horreur! Frankly I am so amazed that you are patient enough to continue shopping with H.com and giving them so many chances! I hope it all works out for you. Thankfully the EU site seems to be a little more stable. ;)
