@OnlyModa , I’m sorry this happened to you. I’m sure your SA does not blame you. Your friends are adults and responsible for themselves. I do not make any SA referrals or introductions without my SAs prior consent, and unless I can personally vouch for the individuals shopping habits. For the past few years, my SAs have opted not to take referrals. If only we all could be as fortunate as @880 and @haute okole to find not only fashion friends but true friends to shop with in the boutiques!
@Gin&H , I do have IRL friends who shop with me, but we all have our own SAs. If I accompany @haute okole or another friend to their appt, I am merely tagging along as a +1 to provide suggestions; unbiased opinions (if asked); or entertainment. I only purchase with my own SA. And, vice versa. Our SAs do get to know all of us casually, but that’s entirely different from a client relationship.
ETA: Agree with both of you in that I personally do not purchase unless I’m pretty sure I love an item and will not return. I’d rather visit it a few times than regret a purchase. And too many returns can cause issues for SAs in wasted time; loss of merchandise (if the return was made elsewhere); or performance reviews.
