Just reading through members issues with family members and Hermes or other luxury purchases made me think how lucky I am that all my cousins (I'm an only child ) dont give a damn about clothes luxury or fashion because they are all academics or retired academics or Lawyers..They dress really badly (borderline scruffy tbh) but I kind of love that they dont judge me or indeed care if I wear Valentino to a family get together or if it was something from a high st chain or jeans..They truly don't give a d***.
Because I work in fashion I find it really refreshing.
My sister in law however (DH's brothers wife) is very judgey and notices EVERYTHING..and comments " OH! you have a Burberry mac..thats very expensive.." things like that.
Her and her husband are not poor and own a second home in Italy and have a great lifestyle however she's always sniping about my 'expensive tastes' she once clocked my H bag and made the 'very expensive' comment..at which point I asked her how much their daughters school fees were..when she told me I pointed out that my bag cost less than 6 months school fees (considerably less in fact) and since we have no children through choice and I work full time my bags and clothes were what I worked to pay for and they gave me joy...
She has'nt made those comments since.

I wish there was a “mic drop” emoji lol. @maxroxxherhandbags I love that you didn’t stand for her behavior - you are a bada** :drinks:

Hello all! I have a question about mini kelly. I posted a thread but no one replied so i thought I will just ask here... anyone who owns both chanel square mini and hermes mini kelly? i just want to know how comparable they are in terms of size (appearance-wise). i have not seen an hermes kelly in person. i own a chanel square mini. i don't care about what can fit - i'm just concerned about how it would look like when worn. i don't want too small or micro bags. i am ok with the size of chanel square mini and chanel woc on me. thanks! (for context, i am planning to buy an hermes mini kelly online).

Hi Everyone! I’m on the hunt for an Indigo Kelly, this one is listed as Indigo in box leather but appears slightly lighter than other listings I’ve seen. Does anyone knowing it is in fact Indigo or could it be Bleu Marine? Appreciate the help!View attachment 6058636View attachment 6058639View attachment 6058640
Hi! This bag is Navy Box Calf. It cannot be Indigo or Bleu Marine based on the details shown.;)

In the future, I would suggest posting ID questions here for a quicker response.

Crossposting this from the Hermès Interesting Facts thread, but I've put together a little pop quiz for anyone interested in testing their H knowledge. Enjoy!;):flowers:

Note: The facts and figures stated below are in reference only to the colour and leather offerings used for bags, SLGs, and costume jewellery. These stats include info for À La Carte/Special Order, Podium Order, and Push Offers. All information is based on data from my updated colour x leather list posted here.

- Hermès Pop Quiz -

1. Which leather has been available in the most colours? (Barring Chèvre Marocain, that would be unfair.:giggle:)

Produced in over 160 colours, Clémence takes the cake! Togo comes in at a close 2nd with around 150 colour offerings.

2. Which colour has been produced in the most leathers? (Barring classic colours— i.e., Black, Étoupe, Gold, and Rouge H.)

Bleu Indigo.

3. How many colours has Hermès produced throughout the years?

Hermès has produced over 330 colours! If you figure in colours available for RTW, silks, and non-leather costume jewellery, I’m sure that figure would be even higher.

4. How many leathers has Hermès offered over the years?

Hermès has offered over 80 varieties of leather produced from more than 15 distinct species of animals.

5. How many leather x colour combinations are there total?

~1800 (out of over 27,000 possible combinations)

Bonus Question:

As a bonus question, which has been the most produced colour from each colour family?

Out of curiosity, how were you able to bring guests for the previous sales? From what I read, only those who received invites were allowed to attend as their IDs were checked. :wondering: :thinking:TIA!
Not OP, but I was DH's plus one last year to the sale in U.S. The invitee rsvp's with their guest's name and contact info, and the guest then receives an email and will need to register in order to receive their own QR code. Both the invitee and the guest need to present ID and the QR code, and the original invitee needs to be present for their guest to enter. They did check both of our IDs. They also pulled up our profiles at checkout and our purchases were linked to our respective profiles. Security was tighter than TSA!

Honestly I don’t remember, but the same friend came with me in both years … I think in 2021 he just came with me as my +1 as only I got the invite, but I think in 2022 as Arlettie had opened it up to the general public we probably just went together and he had his own invite. But this was over 2 years ago now so I genuinely don’t remember anymore.
