Yeah, it always pisses me off when someone comments why would any XXX cost so much? And makes other derogatory comments. We all pick and choose how we spend OUR money.

The worse are the ones that say “oh I’d rather spend it on an “experience” and make “memories”.

Please…… we all know our memories aren’t that great.

But on second thought, I still remember the first time I got my Kelly and it was a great experience!! So I am investing in “experiences” 🤣

Hello! After some contemplating, I finally removed the stickers from my B35 (it has been 2 months since the purchase), I think she’s the keeper 💙

B30 in the same specs would have been the absolute dream, but given I didn’t had any pre-spend for this bag and it was my lucky score at my first try to get a lottery appointment at FSH, I’m happy she found me 😁

The pic doesn’t do it any justice, but I’m really impressed with how the GH glows! 🤩

Can we talk about the Hermès 'reunion'? I had never heard of it until today when I was chatting with my SA as she rang me up and wrapped up my stuff. What an awesome idea! I love that the company is making such a concerted effort to build community amongst its employees...of course, it also makes the employees feel committed to and cared for by leadership which benefits everyone. And, it made me feel even more positive (possible apparently ) about Hermès.

Oh yes partay in Palm Springs! My SM told me they do them for certain “milestones” although did not elaborate what it was. The last one was apparently about 5 years ago and it was in NYC.

Yes I think the second weekend of September in Palm Desert and that last one was, as you note @Bdbunny in New York in 2019. My SA was telling me about the various themed parties including the 70s pool party and a cocktail party. They said that all the US stores would be closed that weekend which seems surprising.

I've made a lot of memories with my Hermès bags 😎.

What gets me are the people who spend a fortune on a car, but ditz me for buying a bag. That car is worth less the minute you drive off the lot, and eventually depreciates down to nothing. Meanwhile, my Hermès bags retain their value, and even increase over time.

Do they need to have some sort of prespend too? I noticed that my SA, SM and even other SAs at the store wear H jewelry
There are enough employee sales that at 70%-90% off, they have a good chance of finding what they want. But, it's like any sale- you never know what will be there. My SA HAS said " why don't I just give them back my paycheck?" So no- its' NOT considered a "pre-spend" per se.
Scarves- they are entitled to choose 1 90 a season, and get a discount on any others they may want ( and probably on other items as well). Note that the scarves are part of the required uniform for SAs.

Bags HAD been different- an SA needed to be with the company for over 5 years, then they 'apply" to buy a bag, etc. It's a process, and like customers, they may not be "offered" what they asked for. Recently, a few bags popped up at their sale, but that may have been a one-off.

And before anyone even THINKS it- NO! its NOT "unfair" that they get a discount or sale occasionally. They work insanely hard, put up with WAY too many impressively annoying clients, are always public facing ( so need to have their "smiley" faces on all the time) and generally deserve whatever bonus their employer gives them- just like any of us get from our employers.
