Hope you are okay @MacawGuy

I don’t really strike up conversations in public anymore. But, I might if in a closed environment like an office or gallery
Thank you, I am okay. 😊 I just have some lower disc problems that flare up once in while. I’d been good for 2 years, been training for my first marathon, but now that’s come to a screeching halt. Getting so close to that long term goal and missing it was more painful than the actual back pain.

I don’t generally strike up conversations in public either, but since it was just the two of us walking in the hall it seemed harmless and ended up being fun. I don’t carry either bag around enough to have any conversation starters anyway haha.

What tips do you all have for storing your twillies and scarves? I'd like a method that allows for easy access and viewing and doesn't get wrinkles. My current method is to fold them all and line them up like file folders in a box in a drawer. TIA!!

OMG, it worked! There’s tons of info in this thread! :flowers:

ETA: I know there’s a more tech savvy way to do this but I’m a dolt. I get really excited when I manage to get done what I’m trying to do

I do this ^ I try to capture a little bit of the scarf design center, so I know what is what lol. For smaller formats, I bought shallow plastic rectangular containers that can corral them like files (only keep them together if I pull one out…

Also, DH and I ordered a white travertine coffee table by Stephan Parmentier (far less costly in Europe even with air freight and white glove delivery), and I found an article that mentioned he designed for Hermes Petit H (he also worked for Karl Lagerfeld) I thought it was a great article, so am including it here.

can i ask if anyone has bought one of those so canvas bags ? how do they compare to the steeple ?
I have one. I love it as a beach or casual summer bag. Obviously it's extremely light and packable (also makes a good cover-up if traveling with, say, a smaller leather bag that can nest inside. It's just a canvas sack with some trim.
The Steeple has much more structure - it has a flat bottom and folded sides and can't be (or at least should not be) flattened out. The Steeple also has rolled leather handles.
Obviously the price difference is huge between the two although it will vary by territory. I don't know that I would pay US prices for a So Canvas but it seemed very reasonable for under 1000€.

this is super duper helpful thank you so much ! because from the pictures the so canvas looked so similar and it was hard to figure this out. i think im gonna try to get another steeple then 😂😂😂😂

sorry i have another question ! are steeples hard to come by and do they also have new colours and designs each season ? i’m new to this whole thing !!! but this bag is so much lighter and less bulky compared to the book tote which i have been using to lug my laptop around !

They are not hard to come by. I've seen them recently on display for sale in the US. They come in dozens of color combos and patterns and new patterns seem to be constantly released. It is a relatively new bag style (less than a year?) so it is still TBD how they are released each season. Best bet is to go into a store and start inquiring about if any are available and/or when one might become available to you.
