Yes! I remember seeing a mini in chai specifically. I don’t remember where I saw it though. Whether it was on tPF or IG.
It's so hard for me to discern what is real and what is fake since I am new to H (got my first H via a friend) and my actual store purchase a few days ago. But I am way too late to the Chai game T__T. Desperately trying to find a chai. 😅

I think less people are shopping so the SAs need sales.
I think as many people are shopping as in previous years but sales/store targets have become higher.
My take on it is..brands and shops fearful of a global slow-down in luxury goods sales have given REALLY high targets this December to try and get ahead of the game before new financial year/end of this quarter.

Options:
-chocolate/cafe clemance
-havanne evergrain (should I also cross this off due to red undertone?)
-ebene evergrain
-ebene barenia faubourg (will this get darker overtime?)
-marron fonce in fjord

I am after a brown bag that looks dark brown indoors under natural light. I am finding it extremely difficult to decide. Please help. Also considering weight of bag. Bag will be in phw.

Don't knot how else to decide. Would like dark brown to act as a black accent like in this photo. What bag would go with this pic? (Please excuse the dust).
Yes, I would remove Havanne Evergrain from the list because it does have a red/rusty undertone. Barénia Ébène will likely patina darker with time (mainly when exposed to oils).

As far as weights*, Fjord would generally be the heaviest followed by Clemence then Evergrain. Barénia Faubourg is slightly lighter than all the aforementioned.

I think I would be doing you a disservice if I told you exactly what leather to choose, as this is such a personal decision. Nonetheless, considering the importance of bag weight for you (especially in light of your wanting a Birkin 35), you may want to opt for Barénia Faubourg or Evergrain in Ébène. Smooth Barénia Ébène would also make a nice, lightweight* option!;)

Note: I’ve moved this discussion to help keep ID thread on topic.

*The weight information I’ve provided is relative. These bags are notoriously heavy —cumbersome, even— especially in your desired size.

Even during "slower times" SAs are still receiving a TON of texts, maybe less than peak but still more than they can comfortably read/reply to. They're still prioritizing their favorites. The general MO doesn't change much I think. [My guess is] if anything, they're probably prioritizing texting their top clients even more, since those are the ones they can count on to meaningfully boost their sales numbers.
100%. If I need to go, I try to do so on a slow weekday. I avoid the weekends.

SAs can put you on their favorites list on their handheld. That is on their own discretion to let you know about that or not. I've never asked about it but my SA just told me I was on the list and showed me. I don't have any illusions about it. Maybe I on the shortlist but still there are many other clients on that list too.

I have a feeling chai is going to stick around for a bit. Just keep shopping and you’ll get a surprise one of these days!

mind-boggling moment:
I was at a dinner with a group of friends & acquaintances and one of the women mentioned she wanted to go to Paris for her wedding anniversary. She plans to go to Hermes and said she was ready to splurge if they offered her a B or K. Mind you, she has never purchased a thing from Hermes, never visited a store, does not have a wishlist, never spoke to an SA, never made an appointment and is convinced she will be able to waltz into the store. Also, from what I have observed on a shopping trip with her once, she is a very difficult to deal with customer. I am not sure where she is getting her Hermes fantasies from but she would not listen to any of our personal experiences thinking that she would luck out. All I could do was blink at her profusely as I think my brain went haywire at that point 😵‍💫

As luck would have it: her fantasy would probably come 100% true...as with Hermès, the unthinkable becomes reality. And what we think should be straightforward becomes really convoluted and asinine.

Update us either way when her trip happens.

Not sure where else to post, is there ever any yellow gold fine jewelry by Hermes? I am not sure I am a rose gold kinda girl.
Yes, currently the Danae line and also Kelly Chaine are available in YG. Also the Kelly bangle bracelet is available in yellow gold (and on the website). I'm sure there are other pieces in YG if you ask your SA... I have YG and RG Hermes FJ, and honestly, it's not THAT big of a difference. :flowers:

There are pieces that are available in yellow gold, particularly in the Kelly line. The Kelly bracelet is available in YG, the lariat necklace, as well as the Chaine bracelet, though the last two are a bit harder to find. I was not big into RG either, but Hermes' rose gold does not feel that "rosy" and I have grown to like their RG pieces.

I have yellow and rose H gold also and side by side I can't tell them apart.
Thanks everyone! I have never had the chance to compare the two H golds in person as I have only ever seen the RG pieces in stock in my store. So compared to my own yellow pieces that I am wearing the difference is noticeable, not glaringly in your face high contrast different, but noticeable. Perhaps H yellow gold is also more ‘beige‘ in tone and less yellowish, similar to Chanel’s beige/champaign.:confused1:I appreciate all of your responses!:flowers::heart:
