I wonder if the difference in tone with the scarfie groups is because there isn’t the same hysteria with scarves that there is with bags? :confused1:
I think demand is better correlated with supply in the scarf metier. There are occasional frenzies, C’est la Fete comes to mind, but not everyone wants the same thing/can wear the same colors. The website generally has stock available, and any true scarcity is generally explained in believable terms; production problems happen and don’t engender the same level of suspicion about artificially repressed supply.

C’est La fete is the exception I had in mind as I typed, it’s the one which has (so far) eluded my grasping mitts!!

Unlike some designs, at least you have a chance at another version (I’m not on the bandwagon for this one so my memory may be faulty, but I think it was re-released in different formats relatively soon after the original). You could always grab a BdG or ten while you wait to find your C’est.

Seriously, good luck in the hunt! :flowers:

Me too..
My boutique only had one in colour way that I didn't want..My SA was on the look out for the one I DID want and they got re-called :crybaby:
I live in hope of getting one but refuse to pay a stupid mark-up (I'm cheap like that )
Its actually my favourite design of all time.

Hello all, I have come to a decision to reduce my bags of use, but I am stuck on “ should I let go the exotic bags , or hold on on them and let’s the regulars rehome?”
Please advise if you think exotic is a keep shake:blush::giggle:
(My life is now getting close to Camping world, I will use the bags mainly at church masses and some small friends gather once in awhile . )
Love you all for taking your time reading my sweet problem :facepalm:
I would let go of the exotics.
They don't fit in with your lifestyle and aside from Ostrich tend to be more delicate.
Providing you still have the Cites certificates they should sell well at auction or a reputable resale site (like Ann's or Fashionphile for instance)
Depending on how many exotics you have and what styles perhaps you could keep a smaller more classic exotic bag to wear for a special dressy event?

What I see in the scarf threads is a real generosity of spirit. I'm a scarf amateur but when I have popped in with a question (like "what colorway?) the feedback is genuine and friendly. It's also lovely to see all the shared compliments.
I was having a drink recently with a tPFer who's a big scarfie and they actually advised me that when the forum gets frustrating or annoying, the scarf threads are a great place to spend time :)
One difference in scarves is that there are no "strategy" discussions on how to "prespend" or "handle" an SA or "score a QB". These types of bag discussions tend to bring out newbies with questions that have been asked 1000 times, newbies with fire in their bellies ("I hate Paris!") and folks who are adamant that they know all there is to know about Hermès. The latter will not stand for any alternate opinions or experiences
Oh my word! The Real Real relisted the bag I returned, after a chargeback had to be filed due to major fading, for a few thousand dollars more and still isn't disclosing the issues :/ SMH!! I paid $7700

I WISH this were surprising. But we have seen this with TRR prior.

Wishing everyone a lovely day; it's a rainy Paris morning and I am off to the boulangerie, like a true cliché, to return with armfuls of warm bread <3

Just the thought of fresh bread, coffee and rainy Paris makes me wanting to go back. I loved sitting at a café looking outside, sipping my coffee with the fresh smell of warm bread and wondering where everyone is going to. Making up stories. <3

I am with you in spirit at the boulangerie under the rain. :)
Enjoy!
Fortunately I will be back in Paris (my hometown) mid-December.
Love the scarfies thread! Very genuine.

Need some advice. Would you bring your Kelly on a road trip along the Southern California coast? I usually travel with my Chanel WOCs, along with a Chanel Grand Shopping tote, but I adore my "new to me" Kelly 28 :smile:She's Vache Liegee. TIA for your insights.Picsart_23-09-22_15-30-37-361.jpg

Depends on where you are going and what activities. We in So Cal are very casual. Your Chanel WOC and Tote will work in my opinion.
