Oh this a great thread for non specific chats and questions. Yes there does seem to be an overload of pre spend questions (which is a bit like how long is a piece of string)
The ‘wildlife’ section is pretty much always a winner-more real and interesting. I usually find wall-to-wall birkin exhibitions a little dull- but maybe it’s just me.
What I am really interested in is to see where do we use our bags. Especially Kelly bags- do you have different size to cover different events or is it just outfit dependant?

I have the same. I am the worst with jewellery, I do everything except martial arts in mine. The matrix backs to loosen-up after a time though so check once in a while, coz if it falls off whist soaping your ears everything may down the plug hole.

TPF trends come and go, and so do members.

I remember when we had reveals everyday, now people just use the one thread - which is fine. I really enjoy looking at the H in Action and the Latest Purchases thread for when I don't want to think. The QB/pre-spend threads do everyone's head in, but at least newbies know that much. I remember a time when almost every other thread was titled "So How Do I Get a Birkin?" and the first post would be full of that they hate everything else at H.

Maybe, start a thread you'd be interested in, provide your own entertainment.

I will take it to work occasionally, otherwise a nice day out to meet friends and/or to my club. For me, the style doesn't lend itself to casual or evening (unless a tiny size) if I was seriously shopping, a K would be the last bag I'd take.

Me too.

I try to contribute in the cheap outfit and H thread, for example, as I love seeing how we use our bags rather than just a bag in action.

there are always newbies coming in with a lot of the same questions that have been asked before, and those who have been here a while who have gotten their desired bags for the time usually become quiet after some time until they buy new bags again, and there is only so much to talk about regarding Birkins and Kellys, really. also, H being way behind in churning out bags (more behind than usual) is certainly not helping with the variety of eye candy being shown :biggrin:.

Call me sad..I find it hard not checking the forum for 24hours! (I DO have a life..honestly!)
My favourite threads are the Wildlife, H in action, H and cheap outfits, H and pets, the Spa thread,Floppy Birkins,Unpopular Opinions and quite a few others..But the thread I ALWAYS look forward to new posts on is the "Identify colour and design " I learn so much from it and discover new (old) bags to dream of owning.
In fact it could be my favourite thread of all.

For me, the best part of TPF is the little things I learn from scrolling through various discussions, like other purse brands people like when they aren't wearing Hermes. Or like what other people are reading and learning from to inform their fashion or view of the world.

Speaking of which, has anyone heard of or perhaps have a bag from the brand Metier (https://metier.com/)? It reminds me a bit of Hermes in how classic it is, eps with the diamond shaped closure. If you have a bag from them, how does it stack up? Do you like it?

I don’t have anything specific to add in the Paris thread so I just put it here. I wish people could see the Paris lottery as just that, a lottery. The chance of winning is tiny but it does happen to some. And there’s no magic formula, roadmap or tricks. It’s pure luck.

But I do understand how infuriating it can be. Like when I see the Euromillion pot gets to over 100 m and the Daily Mail announces the lucky winner. Again! In the UK! Come on! :biggrin:

It didn’t help to buy the tickets when we were in London. Still didn't win any Euromillion. :lol:
