It was a fall winter 22/23 color. I got a k28 in Paris in Sept 2022. My SA told me it was extremely limited production. He told me if I liked the color I should get it because I was unlikely to see it again. Ask your SA because it is in production and is truly stunning!!
Thank you! It is such a restrained and sophisticated colour. Working on it…

Yup. No lizard in CA. Which I find hilarious given a gator is essentially a giant lizard.
Alligator and croc were actually banned in Cali before lizard was (and after python), with some exemptions. However, Louisiana sued because it would lose enormous revenues from the alligator ban, and that ban has been stayed.

Does anyone have a boutique receipt for a box leather item? I am looking to purchase from a trusted seller, but the boutique receipt says "swift" not box. seller claims it must mean swift calfskin box but i'm not convinced. wondering if anyone else has "swift" on the receipt for a box leather item.

mods please delete if not ok

Mistakes certainly do happen and details are sometimes (though infrequently) omitted from receipts. Nonetheless, if all other aspects of the receipt are correct, then I doubt the seller’s insistence on the receipt being incorrect is justified.

Frankly, you should have the bag authenticated. Any credible authenticator will be able to tell you what the leather is, as Swift and Box Calf look very different. You could also post a close, clear picture of the item in the Hermès Identification thread, and I or another member should be able to tell you what the leather is.

Thank you!! :) Yes I would always get an authentication by bababebi of course, but it is a Calvi and I don’t believe that is offered for her services currently. Maybe need to try another source. I am pretty familiar with H leathers, and the pictures calvi is definitely box but when I asked for the receipt photo - it said swift calvi (same color).

If you post a picture or link to the item in the ID thread, I should be able to help you in regards to your leather question. :flowers:

This is my first time asking a question on purse blog. Does anyone know if the color Fauve is only used with Barenia leather or for example does Swift or togo also come in Fauve?
Welcome! Besides Barenia, Fauve has been offered in leathers like Barenia Faubourg, Tadelakt, Chèvre, Crocodile, Veau Sikkim, Veau Doblis, and Alligator. I have never known Fauve to come in Togo or Swift, but both of these leathers are offered in the colour Gold. As a general rule, if a leather is available in Gold, it will not be available in Fauve.
