Here's a photo of the (new-to-me) Brown Sellier Box Kelly that I am awaiting.
It's a 35 and from 1975.

I can't even imagine what it is like. I wish I had been advice but I don't. You have to take it one day at a time and I'm sure your father would want you to be happy. Think of the cherished memories you had. He will be with you always, he is right there in your heart. Hugs.

I know just how hard it is. My friends couldn't relate. Take it one day at a time. You are not alone. We are all here for you, anytime you need us. hugs.

Maybe I should get both!!!?? Ok, I do drink hot cappuccino!! Now I want a french vanilla cappuccino!!

Now I wonder if we still have our old Tassimo. We probably gave it away when we (a) realized that the "barista" drinks were too fattening for us; (b) decided it was redundant to have two coffee makers requiring proprietary systems. But now, I see the error of my ways. Too late, I'm sure it's gone. Sigh.

Aw, no! I didn't mean it that way! I love that you have Kellys from years that were significant to you. I'd love to find a Kelly of my vintage. Just wish I wasn't saggier around the sides than a vintage Kelly.

Oh, OB, I was just joking around. Actually, the date of the bags was just coincidental. Now, if I could find a real, 19-ahem (ain't giving that date away) bag....

I am not sure when she will arrive, but there will be photos.
Oh, and the only saggy Kelly I have is my newest one, from a few years ago. The two vintage ones are sellier. They will always stand tall and slim. No over-stuffing those babies!

Henry doesn't know it yet, but tomorrow our problem child is meeting with the Exorcist--err, um, I mean, the Behaviorist. Gentleman who owns a local dog training/boarding/rehab facility is coming by to view Master Henry in his natural habitat and decide if he has pica, or is just a really busy, always hungry boy who likes yard debris, yum yum. He needs to be able to run around the yard and work off some of his puppy goofiness, but when he's out there in the cold, hunched and shivering, yet still compulsively seeking out the dang Bradford pear fruits and ingesting them by the dozens, well, it's making ME sick, and it isn't doing anything great for his innards either. Thus, the Exorcist--err, Behaviorist. (*cue "Tubular Bells" here*)

We took Charley to a behaviorist a few years ago. The final diagnosis was boredom. The prescription -- Get. A. Job. What kind of job, please, Ms. Behaviorist, s'il vous plait? What kind of job does a funky, goofy, shy standard poodle do? He can't type, he doesn't do medical billing, He can't dust or iron. He really doesn't do much except make us pleased by being his Charleyiest self. The advice was to make sure he did plenty of tricks; went on daily walks; and more walks. The walks worked. Good luck! The behaviorist is probably used to working with dangerous, vicious dogs, not sweet little guys like Henry. S/he will be happy to have a nice dog to treat.

Oh, on the advice of our landscape guy (lawn mower person) we took down one of our Bradford pears. They are notorious for weakness in the wind, the older they get.
Our dogs eat them, dogwood tree big berries, rocks, small frogs, baby birds, rabbits, whatever they can lure, baby cherry tomatoes and strawberries from our plants....

Hi again!

restricter - hey! Things are grand over on this side of the Atlantic today - how are things on that side? It's gotten pretty cold again and apparantly there is a bit of snow forecast for tomorrow :pout: Hoping it doesn't snow on this part of the country!!! Sending tons of vibes and cuddles for Winky :hugs: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Mree - I'm sorry about your dad, that is heartbreaking  And it must've been tough on you to help care for your grandfather when he was going through alzheimers. You are such a sweet, kind and caring person to be caring for your nana now, I'm sure she appreciates you so much :hugs:

princessofthehouse - I'm so sorry to hear what you are going through right now with your dad's illness :hugs: Dementia and alzheimers are such terribly sad diseases  My grandfather passed away about 5 years ago. He developed dementia and it was just heart-breaking to see him in that way. My nana found it really hard, they were able to get home help towards the end though so that helped her out a lot.

I told the story here a few weeks ago about his last Christmas with us. My aunt told him she would sort out his christmas gift to my nana since he was not able to go shopping himself. She went into Hermès and bought a chocolate brown clemence Evelyne for him to give to my nana on Christmas day. Unfortunately, the bag was not her style but she still kept it, just never wore it. He passed away a few months later and then maybe a year after that, she told me she wanted me to have it. Now I wear it and it reminds me of my granda whenever I look at it

purse - best of luck with the decluttering and cleaning in preparation for the house sale! :flowers:

BBL - your new chocolate 35 Kelly is just AMAZING!!!! When does it arrive?

ck - how is Collin's physical therapy going?

Mindi - sending vibes to Henry for tomorrow!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hellllooooo! So long story short, but I received a phone call yesterday AM that took me back to the airport last night to hop on the red eye. Where I was promptly kidnapped by two of the most fabulous chatters... :graucho:
Hope everyone had a good day, I'll be home tomorrow, if you all ask nicely, I'll see if Seymour feels like sharing his new goodie after I get home from work :p
Miss you guys! Just when I thought I was done travelling, I headed back to the airport. Lol.

Well my day was made; waiting for a pal outside the restroom at Target with her loaded shopping cart & some guy angrily shoves around me & 'whispers' "F#@& that fat B!^@# ! Blocking the whole aisle" - Nice.

Time for a piece of chocolate!
