Fig's check up went well. I've got some new pills to start her on tonight. He said to start using the topical stuff every other night and to watch her closely. We've got a new appt for next month.

I didn't take Panda with us this time and she FLIPPED out when we got home. She actually hissed and swiped and caught me on the cheek. Since I've already made myself hand-warmers, I opted NOT to turn her into a muff. Instead she's locked in the back of the house for the time being and has earned herself a fun non-essential trip to the vet EVERY time I take Fig. Little jerk.

I'm eating chocolate covered gummy bears to console myself. By the handful. Am also considering a GIANT glass of cola.
...for the pain.

I have exciting news.

ELECTRICITY!!!!!!




Real electricity, not a 600 foot extension cord spiderwebbing everywhere. But REAL electricity. Outlets, switches, ceiling fans, lights, things I can turn ON AND OFF whenever I want.

I just spent an hour playing with the light switches.

I got the final inspection this morning and the AMAZING ELECTRICIAN came over and "fired up" the house with power. I dont have it in the garage yet, but soon....

And that means I can get the gas tank delivered and have HOT WATER next week.
On demand amazing hot water, and my stove and dryer can be hooked up too.

I just rolled up about 700 feet of extension cords that were powering up all the power tools etc. ahhhh.....freedom!!!

So happy to have reached the weekend. Both Magic and Collin elected to get up at 3:30 and each time one went back to sleep, the other woke up. I'm exhausted! Started a new job (same company). Should be good once I get my bearings.

Right, it's 1:23 am. I decided to clean our two bathrooms at 11:40 pm and since then I've been scrubbing bathrooms, washing floors, tidying up the kitchen. I got this sudden burst of energy from nowhere. I think it's all that extra sleep I got the other day when I slept til 1 pm :D SO thinks I'm nuts. He didn't realise I was cleaning the bathrooms til he caught me walking into the second bathroom with the rubber gloves on. And he was like "no, you are not cleaning at this hour!!!" But I ducked around him and got to work anyway. :nuts:

Now I need to have a shower and go to bed, and get up in a few hours for work. Uuuugh. I know I will regret this in the morning when I am stuck to the bed and can't drag myself out of bed!

Thanks purse, and belated Happy Birthday! :heart:

I seriously cannot express the simple joy of flipping a switch and having light happen...or being able to plug in the microwave into the WALL instead of an extension cord that is attached also to a tablesaw.
