I will happily give the coffee cake to a good home. It will keep it off my waistline! Like I said, I am NOT a domestic goddess. I was just playing one today to keep my mind off stuff (DEFLECT!!). It didn't work. Once I stopped moving, it all came a crashin' in.

I shoulda' skipped straight ta da booze.

All I've got fer my troubles is a kitchen full of dirty dishes and a (fat) belly full of coffee cake (and booze). Le sigh.

Morning Ladies,

It's icy here today. Yuck. I have a ton of meetings to go to off site today. I am not going to be able to get much done.

I hope everyone has a great day!

b-wish, good luck with your birkin search. I'm in the States, so I can't help you with availability in Paris. You may want to check out the Shopping section Inventory thread.

^^thanks pursecrazy.

Ladies, I've been searching the threads and just wanted to ask has anyone here recently bought any H cufflinks? I called my local H and spoke to an SA who I met there once and she is working on finding me more belts and buckles and I when I asked about cufflinks she said they had some nice medor ones in stock. The only medor thing I've liked has been the watch because it hid the watch part... I've also seen the ones posted on the forum but does someone here have a picture of these medor ones or other new ones? (Otherwise I will probably see if they have them this weekend but that may spell further trouble...)

Do you want the cufflinks for yourself? It really doesn't matter, because if you are, you need to wear a thin, dress watch with cufflinks, like my DH does. It's a whole different type of look. Unless you are using a gent's dress shirt and rolling up the sleeves with cufflinks, then you could wear the watch. But the most comfortable way is to do so with a nice thin dress watch. I bought DH a pair of red H enamel links and he wears them with a thin sapphire movado timepiece. Lovely.

Good morning, Mistikat, EB.
EB, be extra careful today. It is very slippery. Dh had to get up early and shovel off the deck and a path for the poodles today. We were going to Tysons today, but the weather is too iffy. So. Stay home today where it is safe.

Icy here, too, BBL. But DH and I have a day full of appointments--the sort that charge you if you fail to cancel 24 hours in advance. Which we didn't. So send safe driving vibes, please! Our windows are all coated with ice and look like glass block. Weird.

Here, we are such sissy-britches that the doctor's offices sometimes cancel appointments for snow. They take their books home. (Some, ahem, Dr. Fred, don't trust their computers!) and call patients and reschedule. Of course when they cancel you, within the 24 hour period, they do not reimburse you!
Careful vibes. Turn the car and defrosters on and then go in the house get coffee and go back to the melty car.
And, I can't stress this enough, be careful and good luck at whatever appointments

Yeah BBL, I've got two uber important meetings today. One about web security and one to show creative. I am wearing my Chanel booties with the vibram soles. My SO birkin is staying safely home.

But I gotta get in the car now. Safe driving everyone!!!

Hi Purse!
Hey Mindi --
Just saw a guy on MSNBC on a 3 1/2 story pile of snow outside a parking garage in Hartford, CT. He then slid down. Looked like fun.

By the way, we (dh) booked another cruise for November. This means we will not have to worry about Thanksgiving. But, alas, the ship will not be the QM2. But, we will stop at an island containing an H boutique and it won't be a Sunday!!! So, it will be open and it will not be a bargain.

Good Morning!! Safe travels for EB and Mindi!

I have a meeting filled day, without even time for lunch. What's a girl to do? I brought some food that I hope to inhale while walking to and fro.

One more day till new furniture! Weeeeeeeee!!

Night-night Peeps!

CK, I just watched the Target show on MSNBC. Very complimentary and interesting with the family history and how they started out as a very high-end dept store. If you can find it on-demand, worth watching.

Thanks, Bmom! You would think there might be a few copies floating around the office? Hmmmmmm...will see what I can see.

My dear nurse. Don't be scared of 25. I celebrated anniversaries of my 25th birthday for about 20 years or so. Then people got suspicious, LOL!
Really, there is no reason to feel pressured into an early marriage. I was 27, and I still thought I was still too young. It was all about finding the right one. I was lucky when DH walked into my office one day. And, the rest is 30+ years of marriage. The last thing I was looking for was marriage. I was swept off my feet. So, the same is happening to DS. He seems to have several GFs and is not ready to settle down and he is 27. All his friends are married all married.
PS the day I turned 25, I suffererd an actual axiety attact. It was the real thing and very frightening!

Perfectly said BBL!
