Evening, everyone! Seems like everyone is doing pretty well!

Happy Birthday Nurse, and trust me you are very young for a husband and family.

Restricter, glad everyone is doing well.

Pugsy, sorry you have a big work project, but maybe that means more $$ for shoes?

Mindi, glad DH is home. You remind me of my daughter when she was home after GD #1 was born. When her DH walked in the door after work, she was standing there ready to hand off the baby to him, being exhausted (mentally mostly) from the day.

B'mom, love the new VCA! I am so jealous you got a deal on it -- lucky you! We have so many bargain finders on this chat thread.

Hiya, EB! Have fun at the movies!
Hi Jules! Glad to see you back!
Hi everyone....

Hi, Lulilu!

I'm still domestic goddessing it up in the kitchen. Coffee cake is finished. Now I'm carmelizing butternut squash in one oven (with butter, balsamic, and spices) and roasting brussels sprouts in the other. I'll be making a maple and garlic glaze for porkchops shortly.

Deflect! Must deflect!!

OB: Get them! GET THEM! :happydance:

Oh, don't worry. Birthdays aren't a big deal for me. I always end up celebrating a month later or so. And 25 is scary. I feel sooo old and I haven't any kids or a husband or anything like that. Especially since where I come from people get married early. It kind of freaks me out.

My dear nurse. Don't be scared of 25. I celebrated anniversaries of my 25th birthday for about 20 years or so. Then people got suspicious, LOL!
Really, there is no reason to feel pressured into an early marriage. I was 27, and I still thought I was still too young. It was all about finding the right one. I was lucky when DH walked into my office one day. And, the rest is 30+ years of marriage. The last thing I was looking for was marriage. I was swept off my feet. So, the same is happening to DS. He seems to have several GFs and is not ready to settle down and he is 27. All his friends are married all married.
PS the day I turned 25, I suffererd an actual axiety attact. It was the real thing and very frightening!

25 was fantastic! I loved turning 25! I had all my friends get together for a fabulous dinner. They pranked me with a legendary birthday gift, and we finished up with late night mini-golfing. There are days when I really wish I could go back 10 years to 25. Still had a lot of fun options ahead of me. I'd like to do them all again - not necessarily to change a dang thing! I just had so much fun doing them!!

I didn't get married until I was 31. I met my DH when I was 28. He was 37 when we met and 40 when we got married. Take your time, and don't stress about getting married! Work on making you the most excellent you, ever! That way you'll have one less thing to do when you meet someone special.

Nurse, I planned on not being in a relationship until after law school. Of course I met Dbf and couldn't help myself but to fall hard for him but I am a firm believer in setting yourself up first! Being single you can make your own options without any outside influence or guilt. While I know that my bf is supportive I also cannot be as spontaneous as I otherwise might be--for example, I cannot just fly out of the country without warning for a Wolford sale :nogood:

As for turning 25, lol you can always trade identities with a 17 or 20 year old :graucho: -depending on the drinking age :D

A-T-G!!! I'm caramelizing butternut squash too!!! :ghi5:

ouijaboard, thanks & get the mocha boots!! Just do it! :D

^^thanks pursecrazy.

Ladies, I've been searching the threads and just wanted to ask has anyone here recently bought any H cufflinks? I called my local H and spoke to an SA who I met there once and she is working on finding me more belts and buckles and I when I asked about cufflinks she said they had some nice medor ones in stock. The only medor thing I've liked has been the watch because it hid the watch part... I've also seen the ones posted on the forum but does someone here have a picture of these medor ones or other new ones? (Otherwise I will probably see if they have them this weekend but that may spell further trouble...)

LMP, isn't that the truth! You call/visit to ask one teeny question and somehow end up walking out with a big orange bag. That's how it is when I call my SA; thank goodness I don't live near a store or I'd be in bigger trouble! I bet there are clou de selle cufflinks. In fact, H.com used to have a pretty good selection of cufflinks.

ATG, you ARE a domestic goddess! When you're done, can you head over this way with some coffee cake and booze?

Night-night Peeps!

CK, I just watched the Target show on MSNBC. Very complimentary and interesting with the family history and how they started out as a very high-end dept store. If you can find it on-demand, worth watching.
