Target sold it's dept store chain, Dayton's, to Marshall Field's. Dayton's and MF were very much alike in look and feel. MF was bought by Macy's, which is not at all similar, at least in our neck of the woods.

BBL and Pugsy--I answered too fast as you were all over the Macy's debacle.

People here were heartbroken when Dayton's left, adjusted to Field's and despise Macy's. I have also happily become a Nordstrom fan!!

I remember Dayton's with great fondness from my MN days. It really was a terrific store, and it was a sad day when it went away. Macy's, at least in my experience, is pretty vile. Nordstrom here is meh. Better than most, however.

PM me whenever. Celiac/gluten sensitivity certainly seems to be growing, and fortunately, so are the food options available.

My mom no longer feels so restricted in her choices, even compared to 5 years ago.

Didn't know that! Love learning new facts like that!

Also, not sure if your mom has seen this, one of my favorite places to go for gluten free recipes is the gluten free girl blog. She's probably already seen it, but I find her alternatives to flour useful :flowers:

Just got a call. 2 more test results are in and they are negative for infection, which is leaving us with probable lymphoma. Given Winky's current state, chemo will only hurt one of us -- me.

One more set of results to go...

My stomach is not up for this.

BMom, I just checked out your new VCA! Congrats!! I can’t wait to get my hands on one.

Ouijaboard, I’m familiar with the silver clou de selle cufflinks.. I think they’regarding cute but don’t want silver (because one touch from my skin and silver dies-lol, well—needs to be cleaned or it looks badly tarnished :() But the SA said medor ones so I would guess it’s the square spike look, no? I can’t picture how it would work as a cufflink.

Balto Bag Lady, the cufflinks are for me. I only mentioned the medor watch because it was the only medor item I’ve liked. I was going to get one in November but my SA couldn’t find it in white and then my Dbf’s jeweler tracked down a Lady Royal Oak Audemars Piguet with a white croc band and white plastic band for Christmas.
Ok, I’ve sidetracked. I wear my women’s datejust to work (as my submariner is too big).
I see you booked another cruise!! And you will get to stop at H! Yay! Lol, I think I will make it a priority for my next vacation destination!
