Question for everybody here who likes to read: do you prefer physical books, kindle or audible?

I personally prefer physical books but for practicality's sake, iPad Mini all the way - as I read mainly during my commute, and I need something, like @QuelleFromage said, that has all my books in one place. If I love a book immensely, I will then go out and get a physical copy to add to my bookshelf and to read at home.

I'm a big fan of The Folio Society, and I love their editions especially! They are so beautifully done and a joy to behold.

That’s why is so useful to keep the original boxes, I have mine up in the loft as they take so much space. I love the way the China is beautifully packed and displayed at the same time.

Yes the original packaging offers the best protection IMO. The only problem is space (or lack there of) when one lives in a flat haha Happy to say everything made it to our new home in one piece

Oh i really like her true crime videos! I didn’t know she had a vlog/lifestyle channel! I had noticed in some of her true crime videos she wears H scarfs though which i thought was cool since i also love H scarfs! Her new bags are beautiful, love the bright colors! She has such a bright personality! So happy for her!!

Haha yes she really is a good story teller! I completely understand, the crime stories are so detailed i can only do one every so often when i’m in that mood LOL. I will definitely check out her other channels, would love to see more unboxings from her. I haven’t seen the wedding video, will definitely check it out!!

It's been out for a while, but I really loved Lupin. (It does not hurt that Omar Sy is extremely easy on the eyes....)

... almost finished Lupin (very proud of myself as I watched it in French mostly, with English subtitles) I hope the new series comes out soon though... Same with the murder club, finished 'the last devil to die' and honestly can't wait for the next one. I find them soothing and cliffhangerish at the same time.

I love my coats as much as my bags and have as many. No disparity. My favourite jackets and coats come from Saint Laurent and Gucci, both new, old and vintage. McQueen used to do good jackets and coats, but SB made everything so hourglass or princess-line, I only looked good in very few things. Interesting (for me at least) I have a black 1970s Rive Gauche Le Smoking and a newer one from SS23. The more recent one is better made and better quality all round.

There are some very nice jackets and coats around on the online or in the stores, I don't think it has to cost a fortune. I don't have any Cos or Jigsaw coats but I have a couple of jackets from each, every one pure wool or pure cotton. Sometimes even Marks and Spencer. Brora stock Harris Tweed and Cordings stock British and Spanish brands. In the UK we have lots of traditional outerwear specialists that sell tweed/worsted wool/linen/cotton jackets and coats. Ireland does too.

I was going to ask the same thing - if you can share names/ recommendations! I use a tailor (nothing fancy like saville row) but he is very good with alterations and offers excellent finish. Having said that I think my favourite clothes come from small french boutiques like majestic filatures that sort of thing.

I used to have a really good tailor in Endell St (Covent Garden). Sadly, the leases rises pushed him out. Now I rely on free alterations from stores or I do it myself (the truly easy-peasy things).

Audible was great when I was doing a lot of driving. I liked listening to books much more than listening to the radio or podcasts.

I gave in to audible after many years of fighting it. It really is convenient when you have a long driving commute

Thanks for the tips on listening to Audible in the car! I just finished The Paris Novel by Rachel Reichl (it was ok, like a beach read) doing my daily commute to work and my hubby and I just started listening to The Three Body Problem for some long road trips.
(but if I'm not driving, I still fall asleep if I try listening lol!)
