Hermes boutiques in London

hi everyone

I follow the lady who owns sellier on IG.

I didn’t get a screenshot but someone asked the question something along the lines of where or how to get a bag in London. She said CP in her opinion seemed to be where it was easier as they followed a fairer system. Something along the lines of they seem to fulfil wishlists.

I wonder *if* bags they sell come predominantly from CP as new bags have receipts and they see the store the bag was officially purchased from.

Which then leads onto the next question if a central team are allocating bags, this means anyone new can put name down and get a wish fulfilled and then resell.

Those LOYAL customers who buy in store hoping for the bag may then lose out to newer customers who have never purchased before as Hermes central feel sorry for them. So again it’s another full circle of reselling. The tactics people go to to give a different person is a plausible and justifiable idea.

So the central team isn’t working out how it should be ?
Loyal customers are becoming increasingly dissatisfied.
Loyal customers not getting the QB as lose out to new customers which has been stated on several forums here.
This may be why more bags are still on resale?

I put this comment in London shopping as the lady specifically said CP and many of us shop there!

Hope you can decipher my early morning thoughts !
I definitely think that there is a shift to giving bags to newer clients in London. And in my opinion it is easier to get your hands on a first quota bag in London. I say this from personal experience as I have been waiting for my second quota longer than I did my first. But not sure first time buyers are what is fuelling the resale market as like others have stated they employ umpteen tactics. My personal thought is that it is actually VIPs who are behind most of the resale bags we see. They are offered the run of bags much more so than anyone else. They get the blue box bags and I’m sure it’s in Hermès best interest to keep them happy with any other bags they ask for so they take them and get a cut.

I think there is an element of supply and demand at play and as you state Head office is prirotising first wishes which I think is a good thing.
For subsequent wish fulfillments I assume lloyalty and spend play a part.
As @Prada Prince states Resellers have ways and means to game the system and that probably involves having teams of 'shoppers' working for them.
If I were you I would'nt waste brain space worrying about it, just continue to be loyal to your store, and to your SA.
At least you have one bag of dreams..eventually I'm sure no:2 will turn up eventually.

Anyone here visited the boutiques yesterday Valentine’s Day? Did you get any goodies?
Tried to get confetti bracelet at Harrods. It was showing on their system as available but the SA couldn't locate it. After good 30-40 min of search she gave up. Seems like such a common issue, in London at least, when they cannot locate items in the store, despite them being in stock. So, this year my gift came from a different brand

I was quite suprised as well, I think I was lucky that day as when I walked into Selfridges I didn’t have to wait in the digital queue they saw to me quite quickly. Hoping I get my wish granted by my birthday (fingers crossed)!
I had a similar experience, but in Scandinavia. Brough my Orans in for a fix and was asked by the SA (first time we met) if I wanted to make a Wishlist.

Thanks for your insight. I've been hearing about this central office quite a lot lately. One SA mentioned they were starting to fulfill wishes from Sept 2022 and another told me we can always hope so who knows how it all works. Haha
Oh wow hoping this is true as I've been waiting since Oct 22 for my wish to be granted 🤞 Just very confused now how the central team works!

Oh… so it’s from the original wish date and not the renewal date? Do you have to renew just before it expires or just after it expires as my wish is expiring in the new few weeks
I am sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong (there are much much more experienced tpf members than me), but I believe they consider previous wishes that haven't been granted. You can't renew until your wish has expired unfortunately so I try to go the day after or as close to as I can 🙂
