Hi, a question about quota bag wishes....will they only offer you a bag that matches exactly to what you put down on your wish? E.g if I asked for a Kelly 25 in pink with gold hardware and one in 28 or silver hardware became available, I won't be offered the bag because it isn't a match? Also, if I were to change my wish to a different colour (because I was offered and accepted a non-quota bag in pink) would it mean my wish will be pushed to the back of the queue? My boutique is CP.
Thank you.

there is flexibility in the matching and your sa will offer you a bag they think you will like. i got a k25 noir sellier ghw when i had made a wish for k25/28 sellier in dark red, blue or gold with ghw. my friend recently had also asked for noir, craie, dark blue with ghw k25/k28 and was offered k25 retourne gold ghw. buying non-quota bag does not affect your wish but changing your wish will reset your wish expiry date.

Evening all 👋

Don't know about you guys, but I am finding Hermes shopping in London, especially NBS, really disappointing for quite a while now. Been travelling to London every month (5hr round trip to the nearest store and sitting outside for an hr to get in) and there has been barely any stock of most items and SA can't hold anything for me!

Still trying to get a picotin 18 and my wish for a kelly expired after a year of waiting and I have had to renew. At the same time seeing lots of UK influencers being offered QBs and non-QBs; I know this is Hermes marketing but still ☹

Anyone having more luck? I'm always nice and friendly when I go in, I try to buy where I can find stuff I like, and don't pester my SA on WhatsApp constantly. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Ok, thank you for your insight.

it is disappointing and it is not just in London. This is not what buying luxury items should be like. The silly quotas, barely any stock in store and online, the queues to get in the store! I don't mind queuing for sample sales but I am not keen when dropping £££ in a luxury store. I am old enough to know that shopping at Hermes wasn't always like this...it is disappointing. If it makes you feel better, Goyard is even worse! 😉

Firstly,
Don't believe what the influencers say or show you.
Secondly I think in London its a question of limited supply vs huge demand from overseas visitors as well as domestic clients.
All you can do is renew your wish-list and perhaps let your SA know if you would be open to accepting a Picotin 22 if one arrived in store.
Bags like Picotin 18 and Evelyne tpm are in massive demand due to the entry level price points therefore its very much due to luck and timing if you get one.
Sorry I cant offer more advice but I agree that visiting the London stores can be disappointing.
Out of interest do you message your SA in advance of your visit as that way perhaps you could book an appointment and skip the queue outside?

Perhaps it is what you are looking for? I’m not sure if SAs can hold more than a few days for any items, but for some things they can look ahead if you’re in store and see what is being shipped over the coming weeks and then put something aside for you, but you’d have to commit to purchase and this would only apply to less in demand items. If there is stock online they can also order it in to the store, and if there are some items in other stores in London they can do a charge send.

That being said, I think it’s very department dependent - I wouldn’t imagine that SAs would be so able to do in shoes for example, or small leather goods, because demand is high online, in each store & between SAs themselves. However, if you’re looking for ready to wear, some homewares, equestrian etc I would think they’d be happy to help.

Thanks so much.

Yeah it's such a pain shopping in London; as you say it serves a LOT of people. Unfortunately I don't get to travel outside of the UK that much and London is my closest. I do also think stock has been so poor to the London stores; seems like we're last on the delivery list.

I have said I'm open to a few options, even a picotin touch, but not sure it's being noted beyond the time I'm there as I have to repeat the request each time I'm there - bit groundhog day (IYKYK)!

I have an unusual SA relationship. I whatsapp when I know I'll be in and this is usually a few weeks in advance. I have asked on a few occasions for an appointment and flagged I'm coming a long way. Replies are often very slow (fine I know the SAs are always super busy) but also brief/impersonal. My request for an appointment just doesn't get acknowledged 😔 I travelled once, waited outside, and they were not there despite saying they would be, which wasn't nice. They're very nice when I'm there so it makes me really confused.

Anyhow sorry for the long reply. If I hadn't spent some much money and time already I'd just give up.

I don’t think most SAs know their exact schedules until about two weeks ahead of time so it may be slightly annoying to have a client pinging them for appointments in advance of that. I’d wait until the date was about a week away for best response, imo.

I'll definitely try this. Might be polite (and less annoying) if the SA could just say this i.e. message me a week before, rather than say they'll be there and me do a 5 hr round journey to find out they're not.
