Hermes boutiques in London

Hi all,
Im New here and just like everyone my experience with hermes is slightly different.
After many years of buying QB from resellers, being turned out many times at the boutique years ago and then being scared of ever asking again, I decided to try again.

I started shopping at the CP store and Harrods on occasions without a specific SA, got 2 Oran sandals, 2 Chypre and a few other small things.
I decided to buy a full homeware set and found an SA to shop with,I got a few pieces like a Calvi, some presents for friends and family.
Together we placed the order for an entire tableware set, and I had to pay a down payment first as things are all arriving separately and it's taking some time.

I immediately placed a wish list the first time I shopped with the SA in October.

Since I placed it, we tweaked the colours a little bit, i was able to give colours from many groups and different hardware.
I don't really talk about it with my SA everytime I go, as I ask for other things that I actually really want especially that I'm okay waiting for the bag.
However, I have been asking for a Geta bag, and everytime I go of course there's nothing.
But my SA told me that on Mondays, they specifically open the CP store at 12pm, to have appointments for clients from 10am to 12pm and my SA asked if I wanted to book an appointment so we can see during the appointment what can be offered.
has anyone done this before?
Does this mean my SA will offer a bag then? Or is it just a normal appointment? I didn't really ask more details.

I’ve no advice or insight to offer about your appointment from personal experience, but it does sound promising!

Welcome to tpf, it’s very friendly here, please let us know how it goes and share your QB when you get it!

Hi thank you so much for your kind message.
Took me a little to register but so glad I finally did.
I'm an hermes lover, I was gifted my first Birkin 11 years ago by husband, when it was still not so hyped. But at the time I was still a bit too shy and young to really push to go to a hermes store on my own. So had an amazing friend in the preloved market and kept on growing my collection through her. Lucky enough that all the pieces were always store fresh.
It is a bit sad to see how it has turned out, and how getting a QB has become such a thing.

But shopping at the CP has honeslty been pure enjoyment. I actually visit the store almost weekly even if i don't buy anything.

Let's see what happens with the appointment. It's soon so I will update!!

From my understanding, the appointment doesn’t necessarily mean you will be offered a bag. It means, only clients with appointments will be allowed in store. They don’t allow walk in clients during this time frame.
My SA has suggested my appointments to be scheduled during this period , in order to enjoy a more peaceful and easy going shopping experience, which I gladly accepted because shopping at CP can be quite chaotic

Thank you so much for your insight. I figured it wasn't necessarily to be offered a QB. But like you said maybe to at least have a little bit more time to look at other non QB more peacefully.

My experience regarding offers is also very different from others and corroborates how important relationships are at H.
I shop at more than one store and have been offered QB from all of them. I love to be surprised and my biggest complaint about wishlist is that it somehow took the surprise away from us. Therefore, my SAs tend to call me with really funny excuses to make me go to the store and then they can surprise me. Also, I’ve been offered bags in the exact specs I’ve asked for, I’ve been offered the possibility to choose from 2 different colours of my wishes, I’ve been surprised with bags that I didn’t include in the wish - to avoid delaying the fulfillment, but I once mentioned I would love to have. That’s why I think relationships are the key, although they are indeed trying to be fair to all their loyal clients. The only time I got an email was during COVID, when the wishlist was already on but the stores were closed.

That sounds so nice! Could you tell us which of the stores is your favourite? Have you been offered QB at harrods?

Thank you! It is nice indeed. I can’t complain. My favourite store by far is Selfridges. I’ve said before in this thread, they may not have the best stock, but they would bend backwards to make the customer happy. I also like RE and CP but my offers usually come from NBS in first place and Selfridges. Never been to H Harolds. I hope that helps.
Xx

Thank you! Was turned down so many times from NBS years ago that I just fear going there. CP is in my area so it's also more convenient.
I wish you many more beautiful additions to your collection :)

Thank you! NBS can be though. I have lost 2 SAs from there over the years that moved to other brands and I had to be very patient and resilient to persevere. I like CP, but it’s out of my way. Wishing you all the luck in your journey!

That's such an interesting insight that kind of contradicts to the popular opinion/advise - always shopping at the same store or where the wishlist is placed. Your post proves that you can enjoy shopping at H more "organically" anywhere you find what you like and have a nice regular SA to help you and you can get offers if you're loyal to them all :) But I guess you've been shopping at all those stores for years and created a significant purchase history so now it pays you back!

Hi ladies, apologies I know this has been asked before but I can’t find it. Do you know if you go to the store and order online items through your SA it counts to your profile spending? Or is your online and instore spending different?

Thanks

I’m definitely not a new client, but back in the day, and not so long ago, you would walk into the store, buy whatever you liked, ask for a mini Evie, and have the option to choose from 3 or 4 colours. Now it’s a struggle to even buy shoes in London. In NBS they are starting to show shoes in separate rooms. Imagine! I think that’s why nowadays all SAs understand that if you find what you want, you will most likely buy it.

Update on my appointment at CP. wonderful wonderful experience! You get to quietly shop with your SA with no one really around. Tea/coffee and croissant are offered.
After chatting for a little while with my SA, I looked at a few pieces, tried on some shoes and was brought some of the remaining pieces from the homewear I had ordered.
Along with that, my SA brought 2 bags for me to look at. Mini 24/ and a Constance to go. Both very nice pieces, but I politely declined as I would rather wait for a Geta to appear.
I really thought shopping at CP was in general really nice ( if you go in the mornings) but the private appointments make it even better!
