I’m doing ok, in the circumstances - they managed to get my pocket organiser which had my main credit cards, ID card, and a sizeable gift card. Yeah I think it happened while I was queueing to enter the store just now, and I realised that my bag was open when I was leaving (was told they were sold out of bags).

I’m lucky that I realised it quickly and cancelled all the relevant cards immediately, but it feels like such a violation when they have your ID information like your address, date of birth etc.

I’m just really sad now.
Omg that’s awful I’m so sorry! Good thing you cancelled your cards and such a shame re the gift card and ID  the last thing one needs before Christmas! Hopefully your ID makes its way back to you - sometimes people find it and post it back to the address!

I hope so. I was lucky to cancel the gift card as well, so I’m waiting for a new one to be sent out. It was a present from one of my best friends, so I’m glad I managed to get that blocked before they used it. Hopefully the perpetrator tries to use the gift card and gets detained by security.

Yeah the banks are really good now with replacement cards and immediately updating your Apple Pay with it. Otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to get home!

:hugs: I am so, so sorry

Everyone must be so careful in London at this time of year

urgh how awful! I am really sorry Prada Prince!
Thanks both. Yeah I have to be extra vigilant now.

The Pocket Organiser was from Kim Jones’s last collection with LV, so it really adds insult to injury that I won’t be able to replace that.

I am so very sorry to hear you were robbed.
That stretch of Old Bond St always makes a bit edgy because theres often gangs of kids 'collecting' for a fake charity around Dior and I feel its a magnet for pickpockets with so many people queuing to enter high end designer stores or walking out with carrier bags.
Heck I'm edgy on the subway carrying a Selfridges or Harrods Carrier bag.
take care and perhaps check vestiere or eBay in case your organiser shows up on there
Sending a hug

Thank you! It’s definitely a painful lesson to learn to be more careful and vigilant, even more so than I already was.

Hi everyone - I’m going to London soon and I have a couple questions about bags.

I’m interested in a Verrou and a Kelly Danse… does anyone know how easy these 2 are to get in London? And also does anyone know updated prices?

I’ve tried looking online but can’t find them, I guess because they’re less popular bags…?

Thanks!

I have been told by SAs that anything “Kelly” is a quota bag in the UK and will need to be put on a wishlist

Hi all, I have been a very long term client of Hermes (over 10 years) and am now trying to canvas opinion on the state of Hermes and shopping there now. Today I went into CP and to be honest it was perhaps the worst shopping experience of my life. I had to wait for over half an hour for a ‘jewellery expert’ and then when I finally got served, in 30 seconds I was told there was nothing in the Chaine d’ancre style, can they just not tell me that immediately? I then asked if they had any clutches and was immediately told nothing was available, they didn’t even bother to check and was told that they haven’t seen a Jige in MONTHS!! I mean are they pulling my leg? I then asked for CDC stock and there was an okay amount and came home with a matte gold croc in ghw which is lovely in fairness.

Last week at NBS I was told the line was 1:30 hours! I mean surely that is unacceptable. Is this the new norm? I love the bags, love the colours etc. but the SA’s bar literally a couple are really quite dour. I’m going to try the Royal Exchange as people here say it’s better but I have shopped at CP for years and it is a shame.

It just seems service has gone down, stock is none existent and queuing is now standard. I remember when I could get wish list B,K,C in a couple of months and that was only a few years ago. Is this a trend everyone is experiencing, as I’m personally seeing more and more of it.

If anyone can attest that RE is better please do, I know it’s smaller but do they still stock leather goods well etc?
I avoid all of the standalone boutiques they are just awful! Unless I'm wearing my Kelly Mini (then everyone will flock to me) I just get ignored... I would 100% recommend Selfridges. Email ahead to secure an appointment and you'll have a great experience and the stock is fab!
