Unfortunately it does seem like the extremely low inventory and long waiting times are the current norm. I was at Harrods and Selfridges last week and apparently the wait was 2.5 hours! Luckily I had made an appointment prior to coming so I didn’t have to wait, but I also couldn’t buy what I had wanted to buy due to genuinely low inventory. Your CDC sounds lovely!

If you’ve been a long-time customer at CP, don’t you have a regular SA/SAs there to at least schedule appointments and check stock in advance (for non-bags)?
There have been quite a few staff changes as of late it seems. Moreover SA’s seem to be getting far worse at responding to my emails, I’ve given up. Perhaps I have angered the Hermes gods lol.

At least I know it’s not just me but a general trend. Hopefully it can be reversed. Although it appears to be universal, at LV, Chanel etc…

What a frustrating experience, must have taken any joy out of what ought to be fun.

I do think the situation is markedly different to pre-covid times for a combination of reasons: during lockdown people diverted money they might have spent on holidays to luxury goods, production was impacted and H are constantly playing catch up (they can’t just advertise and get lots more trained artisans) but also Chanel and LV have hiked their prices to a level where their customers are moving to H. H is much better quality for what is now only a small disparity in price… Lower availability combined with higher demand leads to the experience you had. Just my opinion, others may differ of course.

Does anyone know if you've declined an offer of a non-QB (bcs it's not the right color for you), does it affect your chance of getting that bag again (in your desired color)? Would it hurt your already slim chance on getting another non-QB? I know getting a non-QB is based on luck, but I'm just overthinking here and afraid my profile will be flagged somehow bcos you never know how H system works!

The answer should be ‘no’. But depends on your relationship with your SA/store, and how available and desirable the non-QB is. Regardless of what ever ‘system’ H has in place to make purchasing the highly desirable items fairer and stop resellers, VIPs will always have more access to the desirable pieces ahead of infrequent or newer customers. I doubt you would be flagged, unless you keep purchasing items and returning them for example or if H thinks you’re a reseller.

Don’t ever feel pressured to buy something you don’t want.

Hi all, I can see that a user has posted it took 30 minutes to get help in CP but could I confirm that the store itself has been very busy ?

Anybody else can chip in how busy CP has been ? The reason is because I don’t live in London but am thinking of making the trek to do some Christmas shopping but with the rail strikes / work deadlines, I just wanted to see if it was super busy then I may just do my shopping online. I had an SA I worked with a couple of times but he really hasn’t responded after 2 weeks, and I have sent a few messages already (he is not away on holiday I can see he is still ‘online’ ) .

So if it’s crazy there I may just buy online and spare myself the hassle of waiting in line for extra long !

If you get to the stores at opening time, there shouldn’t be much of a wait. CP is also within a 5-min walk of Harrods so you can try both in one trip. H.com is good if you aren’t really bothered about relationship/profile building and just want to shop for gifts and items you’re interested in are available online

Hello, I went to CP on Friday about 5pm there were people inside but I wouldn’t say it was like a zoo. The lady who registers customers told me my new SA had left an hour ago but I found her upstairs and she helped me straight away!

If my SA isn’t in then I won’t bother but you might want to PM me your SA’s name as mine has officially left and I can confirm this for you if we shopped with the same SA… I think they give the phone to a new SA so maybe that’s why you haven’t had a response?

There was a lot of new faces whilst I was there on Friday…

If I were you I would call the customer service number and see if they can book an appointment at a time that works for you to avoid long waiting?

But as Gelato says if building a rapport isn’t that important online is good I would order asap to arrive before Christmas!

I went to the store this morning. Only clients with appointments were allowed in.
When I left, the hostess was starting to welcome other clients, hence why the ground floor became very busy and there was cue outside.

I wasn’t in CP this morning but I was in NBS - I arrived before opening, and waited about 30 mins after to be seen. It wasn’t too busy at opening but the biggest issue was stock availability. I don’t know if it is due to shopping on a Monday, and usually later in the week there are more deliveries, but they had nothing in the sizes I needed in belts, gloves, RTW, and fashion jewellery (bracelets). Very low stock in fragrance. Did not have the non QB I was after, although I wasn’t expecting it & was asking on the offchance (GP voyage). I had emailed my SA earlier in the week and he did say they had no appointments until 2023, although I do expect for someone with the right profile they can make space :)
SAs were all super lovely but clearly getting ready for a busy day - when I left the shop had started to fill up and there were a lot of people starting to complain about the queues “but I just need xxx what do you mean I must register”.

Hi everyone! This is my very first post. I need some advice from seasoned Hermes shoppers:)

I've started my official Hermes journey from September 2022 at CP. Although I bought some bracelets, Orans, scarves previously for the past 10 years, but I never registered myself in the system (I know!), because I never wanted a bag.

So now I've bought a couple of things online and in store (altogether 4000 GBP). SA who was helping me initially seemed very nice and helped me to score highly sought after Non-Quota Bag quickly without pre-spend in the exact specs I wanted (it was in store that day). I made my wish list with them that day in October. Since then I modified my wishlist a few times (re hardware, leather) and SA seemed annoyed. But it's a dream bag so! Since then my SA always seemed busy, rushed, tired and not willing to talk much. Then I've made an appointment to make sure I buy an item that day without being rushed and to be able to connect with my SA, but my SA was helping someone else at my time slot and so was dividing attention between them and me which didn't feel nice or right.

Last time I came to buy a present for my husband and my SA was busy with someone and said to buy with someone else, I said I can wait - they said it might take an hour. Ok I said, I'd come back. I came back in an hour and SA said they're busy again with someone and can't help (after helping that client reception lady said my SA went for lunch break). After telling me to come back in an hour? I felt so heartbroken and upset.

Q: should I change my SA? As it doesn't seem we get along that well according to my experience, although I always try to be nice, polite, smiley (with everyone really!). But first NQB was scored so easily. And my wishlist created with that SA. But last time they seemed almost just rude.
Q2: any recommendation on a nice SA at CP? So many new faces since I started shopping there.

Thank you so much! X

Honestly, doesn't sound like you like this SA much, and they do not sound helpful. You've only been shopping with them 4-ish months, so hardly a ton of investment timewise. Next time you have something in mind you'd like to buy, I'd go in and chat to a few people til you find someone helpful. It's always easier to start a rapport when you have a clear goal that day.

If I may say...I also would not feel heartbroken about the actions of a salesperson. Life is too short for that.
