Hi everyone! I’m about to start my Hermes journey in London and been reading some helpful info but I keep on reading about a wishlist expiration. Can anyone explain to me what is that and how long your wishlist will be valid for/expire? Thank you so much! :)

Your wishlist is valid for 8 months from the date it is created. After which you will need to renew it or create a new one (with different specs etc).

Created my first wish list on Christmas Eve in Cadogan Place. A K28 retourne in a dark neutral togo. Thanks to someone on TPF posting a Kelly in vert de gris that would be my dream colour but I’m not holding out on that. They had a K25 to try out but not a K28. I went for K28 as the K25 seemed a little small for my needs (it was a sellier and so i don’t know if retourne would have been bigger??). I didn’t realise I could wish for K25 or K28. But I did purchase a Bolide 25 in etoupe epsom that day so have something in that size. Feel very relaxed about whether i get offered one or not. I’m just buying what and when the fancy takes me.

Just wondered if anyone had had any luck getting a quota bag from Harrods? I think I’ve documented I’ve had quite a bumpy ride trying to get anything at all from Cadogan place, whether it be a blanket, shoes or a calvi. But I went into the womenswear boutique in Harrods yesterday and had such a lovely experience with a sweet and helpful SA and was seriously considering carrying on shopping with her. Also wondered if the Harrods SAs who work in womenswear are able to create wishlists? Any info would be gratefully received.

Congrats for creating the wish! I created my second one in mid Dec too so hopefully by summer time we will hear back from them!
The K25 retourne would look smaller than the sellier, but carry more due to the structure. A K28 retourne would just be 2cm bigger than a K25 sellier that you tried on - I think k28 is more versatile and “every day” while k25 is good for a day to night look.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts. I am after a ”every day” bag so it sounds like I’m on the right track. Is Togo a good choice for the leather? I want it to be quite robust in case of being caught in the rain and not too slouchy although i know the retourne is a more casual style. Good luck with your wish too

I believe Togo is one of the most common leather for kelly retourne (as they need a leather that can be “folded” inside out) - so I guess if you have set your target on a retourne then the choice of leather is quite limited tbh. It is quite soft but still sturdy for the size of 28 in my opinion, I also use bag insert so I guess that help!
My SA told me once all leathers don’t like water so better wear the LV canvas if it is a day of rain! ;>

I too find the ladies in womenswear in Harrods very helpful and friendly. I don’t know the answer to your question so will see what others advise. However, I was speaking to a re-seller store and they said the bags they get to resell predominately come from CP, Harrods & NBS - according to receipts. So someone must be getting them.

I agree that the SAs at Harrod’s Pret a Porter Femme are very helpful but remember that’s a very new department and I have met my RTW SAs there who transferred over from NBS. They have to establish new client relationships at a new location, at a new department. Just also want to add that I sincerely believe the prespend for newer customers looking to start a relationship at Harrod’s would be relatively high. This from the SAs I have known there for years and also the hints of the stock they carry. The RTW pieces are runway and at higher end of the spectrum, also note the bling in the showcases upstairs. Just managing expectations.

Hi all, may I also ask for your sharing - especially for those who have got multiple wishes granted before, how long did you wait for your second / third one after scoring the previous one?
Just wish to manage my own expectation…!

It really depends on the store, their stock level and what you wish for. For my first offer I waited 11 months in total but the second one (my special order) came only 3 months after the first. If you have a good relationship with the store and a SA, getting the two quota bags per year shouldn’t be impossible. Best of luck :)

My SA is based at the Hermes Femme in Harrods and she said that she is able to make a wishlist for a Kelly bag for me whenever I am ready (I am still not there financially). She was also able to take me downstairs so I could buy some small leather goods I was looking for. Overall Hermes Femme is such a great department and they offer amazing service especially comparing with super busy ground floor.

Thanks so much for this feedback. The SA I worked with at Harrods was wonderful and I really felt I clicked with her. There are things in the women’s department that I am definitely interested in buying- so I think I will continue to shop with her and make a new wish at Harrods as my wish list at CP expires tomorrow- so very little chance it will be fulfilled! But nevertheless regardless of a bag- I’m very happy with the service I receive there and the overall experience which is the most important thing.

Wow it is amazing they offered you a SO so quickly…! I am hoping to get a mini Lindy and a mini kelly - I know both items are very hot but I really do not want to go for resellers - hopefully I can be granted the next wish within the 8 months’ period.

I agree with @luvHermes2, it may take longer or less time than your first offer depending on what you've wished for and stock levels... My 2nd wish took less time than the 1st, but my 3rd took more time than both previous ones combined! I've experienced offers taking anywhere from 4 months to a year.

I really think that 2021 was a challenging year to get offers due to lower stock and increased (influencer) hype for Hermes, which I hope will die down once influencers realise they've maxed out their credit cards
