Thank you! I placed my wish about 6 months ago, I don’t really remember exactly when :facepalm: i bought my first H scarf more than 10 years ago but started shopping more regularly about 2 years ago as I became more senior in my career. I met my SA just over a year ago

May I ask for some clarity on this point: I expect to be in London shortly, but have just read - at least, it appears to me- that I can no longer claim VAT unless I purchase an item to be sent out of the country for delivery? In other words, no hand carry items out of the UK are eligible for VAT recovery by non EU residents? Thanks for your help!!

That is correct.
If you buy any item in the UK and wish to claim back the VAT you have to have it shipped to your home address overseas

Exactly…I don’t understand why they changed the VAT refund rule. Tourists will save up their shopping money for France or other European countries..

The stores can do it if you are known to them and with approval. I don’t ship items myself, I believe the tax free only works if it is shipped directly without my interference. I have to stress that this is my own personal experience.

Hi Ladies, Opinion needed
I went into Harrods on Monday, having made an appointment with my SA to meet her around 11. I arrived at 11.15 but she was not there and I was served by another SA. Then later on I got a text that she apparently forgot she had an appointment with me.
I asked the SA that helped me that day about the possibility to get my wish bag this side of Christmas. When we checked the system, however it appears that when I asked my usual SA to renew my wish with change from K25 or K28 to K25 a few months back, she had forgotten to change the expiration date so I was waiting for months on an expired wish.
Now I have 2 questions
I want to get something for myself this Xmas, should I keep holding out to see if I might get my wish or just choose something else?
Secondly, while I do get on with this SA ok and she has helped me getting non-quota things I am a little annoyed that when I make appointment quite often the appointment would start late (longest time I waited for 40min with another client taking his time). I’m also a little annoyed to find out I’ve been waiting for an expired wish for months. Waiting is ok but I could have ended up waiting till next May only to find out my wish had expired 8 months ago. So the question is: do I start working with someone else?
