Hermes boutiques in London

When I went to Harrods last week I didn’t have to queue and there were more clients in the boutique . Probably the capacity increased after government regulations relaxed
Yes I was pleased to see the queuing has stopped. What was difficult was that even if only a few people in the queue you needed to wait for 45 mins plus as Hermes had very few staff and used a 1:1 ratio of staff to customers. I’d always felt that they could have let in a few more people who may have just wanted to browse. I can’t say Harrods is super busy - in fact I’ve never seen the London shops so quiet. In a way very sad!

Hello everyone, my SA in london just informed me that he’s leaving Hermes. I still have a SO on the way ordered in April. Thankfully the order was placed but with my SA gone, would the boutique inform me when it arrives?

May I know, how difficult to get mini Lindy in London… I have checked with my SA for 4 months but still no good news from her

Most new sought after bags are difficult to get everywhere. The UK seems last on the list of H's priority since the New Year. I would keep checking-in and also on h.com too. When the product is the only thing you want, don't worry so much about your loyalty to your usual SA, maybe be more pro-active.

Even though we have 5 stores in London, really, only 2 get the hard-to-get pieces in any numbers, if your SA is either at CS or NBS, try others too. Harrods has its favoured customers but Selfridges has a high turnover of staff and most like to please (except one SA that I personally do not get along with at all) so try there too.

I have placed my first wistlist Jul 2020 but already expired, and I have renewed it in April 2021 After the lockdown. I always hint to my SA that I really hope to get my wishlist bag ASAP. During the last visit, my SA offered me the mini Lindy, but i worried if I take the mini Lindy will delay my wishlist bag.

Surely taking the mini Lindy (if that’s what you would like and wanted) would go in favour of you obtaining your wishlist bag? It’s a bag you wanted, it’s not a quota bag and you’re establishing good faith with your SA?

I disagree. It would have helped you in my opinion. In London you are allowed to 4 non quota bags per year.
If you like the Lindy why not go for it? Don't obsess over the quota bag, it will come. Enjoy the process;)

I know that others have said this would help you, but I'm less sure. The Mini Lindy is a very rare and desirable bag, so whilst it will increase your purchase history, it may put you at a disadvantage for your wishlist bag vs. a customer who hasn't recently been offered a rare and desirable bag.

I'd also think about this in the context of stock that seems particularly low in the UK.

That said, it's so difficult to get a Mini Lindy that if you love the combination you should just get it without thinking about the potential impact on your wishlist bag, because who knows!

Hi, just thought I would give an update on my wishlist journey from a H newbie:

I think I was quite lucky considering that I do not have a purchase history other than one pair of Oran sandals. I placed a wishlist in December, and got an email last weekend saying it has arrived! So I cleared my schedule (obviously) and went into the store and scored my first K! :yahoo:

I still remember walking into that store bcos i genuinely wanted to buy the Sandals and just wanted to try the size. The SA was really lovely, we got into talking about bags and she told me about this wishlist system if i wanted to create one. (Bear in mind that at this point I did not buy the sandals yet.) So of course I said yes, eventhough in my head I honestly thought it will never happen... but dream big people!!!
Congratulations!! Which store was this?

If you like it, go for it! I personally love the mini Lindy and it’s one of the most practical and usable minis around as it carries a lot!

Hello! Sorry for the random message but as I'll be in London for the next 6 months for work and would love to hear if anyone knows of any great SAs at the NBS store or anywhere for me to start my H journey here? Do drop me a DM, thank you so much!
