Hello all, I am not sure if this has been asked before but I was wondering if the SAs at Harrods can access the purchase history from Hermes Selfridges and vice versa? I’m not a Londoner so I have no clue but I have SAs in both stores and was hoping to make purchases from both on my upcoming trip.. any info would be appreciated thx!

The reason I’m asking is because my SA at harrods had no idea of my purchases from Selfridges and I also read somewhere that they cannot check each other’s inventories and they do not accept exchanges from either stores...i was hoping maybe one of you lovely ladies would know..thanks in advance

Yes they can see your purchases from the UK stores. I shop most frequently at the very 2 stores you referenced. As for returns you are correct, you have to return to the concession you purchased from they won’t exchange in other stores unless your purchase is from a stand-alone store. HTH x

Hi all,
I'm just starting my Hermes journey. I do live in London and have access to the boutiques and Selfridges and Harrods (though to be honest, I don't like Harrods - but love Selfridges). I was wondering if it is better to start building a relationship with SA in Selfridges or in one of the independent boutiques? Or it doesn't matter? I've been into Hermes Bond Street couple of times and found general service to be polite but cold (I wasn't even there for the bags). Selfridges in comparison has always been friendlier. Harrods Hermes was also nicer than Bond Street. Haven't tried Sloane Street boutique yet.

Do independent boutiques have better stock than department stores? Appreciate any tips/knowledge/advice. Thank you.

Hello,
I couldn't find a reply to my question in other threads, but do you know if any Hermes UK store are able to see any purchase history made from the UK website?
Many thanks!
I think they can. When they look me up on their system at the till to add my latest purchases, both profiles come up. Not sure whether they can actually also see the details of what was bought on line though.

If there are two profiles, then it doesn't seem to be single purchase history? (Someone I know who has bought both online and in-store had to create a new profile when buying her first item in store and apparently the online purchase history didn't count. I don't know how accurate this is).

Not sure whether I should post this here or in the « relationship » threat. My regular SA told me recently that they can no longer view customers’ phone numbers due to GDPR. Only managers can. She relies on her own, seemingly illegal system and keeps my number in her own private phone to let me know when an item I was waiting for is available in store.

They can but only under a separate profile. When you order on UK H.com, a profile will be create for you in addition to your in-store profile. And it will say on that profile it's your internet profile. They can see your orders if they go into the profile. But items purchased under that profile will not count as your in-store profile.

I think you are correct. Both accounts are not merged and one definitely needs a « store » account when buying in the actual boutique. I just assume that they could look up both accounts to ascertain how good a customer one is.
Based on personal experience, I’m not sure they are that bothered anyway. I have been offered « coveted » bags without the SA actually checking my profiles. They merely mentioned that « they knew that I was a regular » (but definitely not one of their big spenders...).
