Apparently the new SM at New Bond Street is a terror. I had a bad experience and then a US SA actually called NBS "that terrible store with awful people"!
Really ? What was that terrible experience? I love the London Bond Street store, never had anything but excellent service there, even though I would not Pass for a VIP. I have no croc bags or croc skirts for that matter.

I visited 3 Hermès stores while in Ldn.

Harrods was small&very busy but ok. Great for spotting gorgeous H bags carried by customers. Selfridges was small, cosy and had wonderful service. NBS was the biggest store, boutique experience where you can peacefully browse the store and if you need assistance you easily find help. There were French speaking SAs at this store and I enjoyed the experience. All 3 stores had a very different vibe.

Same here! I usually go to Selfridges, where I have a lovely SA, but I also get wonderful service at NBS, never having requested a coveted bag there yet, I must say.

Hi, I was in London Hermès Cadogan Place and was told about new appointment system in place. Have anyone successfuly purcheced B or K with the new system?
I ve never been to the Cadogan place and not sure what the appointment system. However in Bond Street, Selfridges & harrods most SA's eyes just glaze over when walk in s come in asking to buy a B. Honestly every time I am there, whatever the time, there are several people asking to buy B within earshot.

I was very happy with the service I recieved at all three stores I visited a few weeks ago, Harrods, NBS and Selfridges. The three SAs I met at each store were really nice. I bought something at each store. Harrods was extremely busy but they had a good que system in place so each customer got served in order. I had no problem waiting and enjoyed seeing other customers decked out in H and browsing their display.

So true!
And sometimes SA's are busy working with a client and someone walks in, interrupts them, barks B or K, then gets upset they are told to wait their turn, don't interrupt or nothing is in...
It's a shame manners seem to be a lost art nowadays. I don't know how patient I could ever be if I were in the SA's shoes.

So glad you enjoyed it and looking forward to meet up next time. I think London SA's are very professional and go out of their way to assist. I never had a problem getting what I wanted, if it's not available they will usually track it down.

Might be old news for some of you but I learnt last Saturday that CP is now opening on Sundays. IMO, that’s a very good thing as it is usually already much quieter than NBS and has very friendly SAs which makes for a more pleasant shopping experience altogether.
Speaking of staff and NBS, did anyone else notice they seem to have a much higher turnover there?

I agree on all of it, except for the fact that my poor SAs have to work Sundays now.

This is good to know as I prefer to visit that area on a Sunday where the roads are more quiet and parking is easy if you get there early enough. The added bonus being that it's a stone's throw from Harrods too!
