It’s awesome they offer to put you on wishlist because nowadays many stores do not even entertain tourists on bags.Any luck with Hermes Lyon during this busy time of the year?
We dropped by the store and it was really full but no queue outside though. We were initially assisted by an Asian SA. She said "I could honestly say there are no bags available as it's the holidays." Then we just proceeded to buy our daughters a couple of pieces of jewellery (just simple ones). We have an account with the Lyon branch as we got a non-QB last year.
We dropped by again the next day to see if we could buy a few other things we like. Another guy SA helped and offered us a couple of canvas Garden party which we politely declined. We told them last year we were at their store and requested for another non-QB bag. But they said they did not put in the wishlist as it's non-QB.
They just asked us for a QB wishlist which they put in this time. They said 1 QB per year in the wishlist and if we did not get a call they will drop it in our wishlist. They said they'll call us once available which I have a feeling 99.999% will not happen. This wishlist thing seems to be so random depending on the SA. They probably just wanted to get rid of us ASAP 😆 Not sure of the experiences of others on this wishlist thingy?
They did asked us though how long we were staying in Lyon. We were already leaving but we forgot to mention we'll just be in Paris for Xmas and New Year! We could have told them that we did not mind coming down again. Oh well we were unlucky this time with the Lyon branch.
I was in Aix and did not find them tourist friendly. I asked for a watchstrap (wanted a different color) and he immediately told me to check my homestore. i asked if they had calvi duos and he said he has never seen those ever while standing in front of a display case displaying one. the store itself is super small with very few items on display. i was also looking at rtw, but they had only a couple of shirts out and i had lost interest in pursuing items at that point so didnt ask about options.hi all! visiting Aix en Provence and south of France this June for our 25th anniversary! How has the Aix store been recently? Stock ok and welcoming to tourists? thank you H family!
Did you get any bags as a wake-in customer?hi all! Today I visited the Hermes Lyon store and had a very pleasant experience. The SA assigned to me was warm and helpful. I asked for cashmere scarves, some China pieces, and NQB. I would say this is one of the nicest experiences I’ve had with an Hermes store.
To add, I was in Paris for 4 days. I visited FSH and Sevres and the stores were really busy. I had no luck with the lottery and no luck with walk-in. Just picked up a few items.
Glad we stopped by Lyon before heading down to the South of France!
I got a GP30 in Rouge Sellier 😊 was really looking for a P18 but they had none so I took in the GP. The color Rouge sellier is a stunner!Did you get any bags as a wake-in customer?
Glad you seem happy, anyway![]()
I can’t speak to special events at any of these stores, but I’ve had positive experiences at all of the locations you mentioned. I may have received some perfume samples from Cannes at one point if I recall correctly, but no “freebies.” Overall, I have been treated well at all of these stores and have been offered refreshments, haven’t felt rushed, etc.Quick question to ya'll who shop at Hermes boutiques in resort locations like Saint-Tropez / Cannes / Nice.
I live in Malaga, my default store is the one in Marbella. They never do any special events (or at least I’m not invited), most of the time they run out of perfume samples, definitely no freebies and I'm wondering is it just us or is it something similar in other ‘resort' boutiques? I used to shop in another EU-locates Hermes store and it was really different. So I'm trying to understand a) is it me? b) is it a store? or b) in general in resort locations they have a different approach to customers.
Thanks for your reply! And just for the record, I'm not being abused or anything. I just feel certain contrasts and try to find out why. E.g. in Phuket (also a holiday destination) Hermes Boutique, a SA gave me a bunch of samples, handmade greeting card and other nice stuff. Not that I need them, but the experience was different. My initial hypothesis was that 'resort' boutiques are less stocked with merchandise because of the volume of travellers, and therefore the locals are out of the game too. But given what you have said, that may not be the case.I can’t speak to special events at any of these stores, but I’ve had positive experiences at all of the locations you mentioned. I understand what you’re saying. I think so much of the experience also depends on the SA you end up working with, too. Thanks for your reply! Hi, I’ll be staying in Nice for a month in July and would love your insight into the Nice store. In your opinion, do you think it’s possible to get a B or mini K in this store? Are the SA’s friendly? Any info you could give would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. I’m new to the forum.
