Lyon store stock update: no bags except Trim 31 and Cabas 40. As per SA, August bags are sold try to check in September. No orans as it’s seasonal sneaker and boots were available
I'm visiting Lyon for the first time next month. Are there typically long waits to get inside? I only want to buy a belt and a 140 csgm. My husband has little patience for H shopping, so any tips are greatly appreciated!

I was in Lyon for a few days two weeks ago. If you go when they first open, there isn’t a line but otherwise there is a short line up. Our hotel was very close so we walked by the boutique numerous times throughout the day. I did shop there twice on my visit and both times lined up outside for 10-15 minutes. I was able to get an Evelyne TPM in gold with PHW. As well as some tableware i have been looking for and my SA had suggested to try to get in France. I worked with two different SAs on both visits. Both were very nice. There were some beautiful bags on display including Kelly 28 retourne in vert vertigo, KTGs, CTGs, lindy, bolide…and I saw people try them on and take pictures which I had not seen before in my other boutique visits. The SAs were adamant they weren’t for sale. I saw so many people try the Kelly that honestly I felt it would be unfair to sell such a worn bag as new. Overall, really enjoyed the boutique and Lyon. Happy shopping!

Sounds great! Thanks for the intel! and I agree about that Kelly being "used" at this point.

I went to Lyon again last Saturday and was paired up with an amazing SA. I was looking for bags (Kelly 25 and mini Kelly mostly) and wallets (Kelly to-go, classic Kelly wallet, etc.). She showed me a few options of the smaller Kelly wallets and the Kelly portefeuille and I was really drawn to one of the shorter Kelly wallets except for the fact it had a noticeable scratch on it and since it was epsom it probably won’t be easily repairable. She also told me it was going to be pretty much impossible to get me a Kelly since there wasn’t enough time before I leave France (I was leaving in a week). I then asked if there were any Constances and after looking through her phone she told me it might be possible to offer me one in a red color, gold hardware in swift leather the following week before I leave. She noted me down on her phone and told her she would contact me the next week if there was a bag she could offer me. I happily agreed and went on to look at belts & ended up choosing a Kelly belt in Etoupe with RGHW. While she was looking for belts in my size in the back I saw that they had the Oz mules in the Beige Sarrazin color I’ve been interested in and bought those too. I left the store content and satisfied with my new belt and shoes thinking that even if I wasn’t offered a bag the next week I would still be happy with what I’ve purchased so far.

Flash forward to next week, the lovely SA let me know that she was able to get ahold of a bag to offer me and told me to go into the store on Friday. I was so excited and booked my train tickets for Friday right away. Today I took that train to the Lyon store and even though that SA was not in stores today, she put the bag on hold for me so I was able to get it with no issues. When it was unveiled to me I was so over the moon! Here it is: Constance 24 in Rouge H with GHW in the Veau Madame leather. I went in expecting it to be in Swift because that’s what the SA told me but I’m so glad it’s in the Madame calfskin since I’ve always preferred Epsom for structured bags like Constances and this leather seems to be the perfect in between of Swift and Epsom - softer and finer-grained than Epsom. I’m in love! I’ll be leaving France tomorrow and while I can say I’d have enjoyed my trip even if I hadn’t been offered this bag, I can’t deny that being able to go home carrying this beauty makes the experience just that much better :P:love:

This is my first Constance and I can now appreciate it’s craftsmanship and quality —just impeccable.

hi, thanks! Sorry but I'm unable to share her name as I've already previously shared her contact with many members and she's already flooded. When u go to the store, the manager will pair u up with an available SA at random, so it's actually hard to request an SA unless they know and are expecting u

Hello all, I am planning to be in Courchevel and was wonder which of these shops I should visit for homeware, shoes and bags. I see the store in Megeve is closest - any recent experience (I also posted in the specific thread for thus store) or is Lyon worth a stop?

Hi! I am in Couchevel now, and honestly always prefer the Lyon shop when I am here. Megeve store is very-very tiny (I visited last year and two years before that), but I have been to Hermes Lyon yesterday, many SAs were very nice and I saw mini Evelyn and Constance were offered within one hour.
Few photos from Lyon shop, if it’s allowed here

I was at Lyon store couple days ago - beautiful store!
A lot of Kelly’s and Birkin’s and other bags at the display!

Nice and helpful SA’s! I went to store just to buy lip oil and foundation, but sure the store is full in stock!

When I was at the cashier, the SA (male) brings the big orange box and I saw a label “Kelly 28 retourne” and the cashier was holding Canada passport, I guess it was nice lady behind me)

No line outside by the way, not crowded store.

Thank you for this information! It sounds like one does not need to make an appointment for the Lyon boutique but will wait in line and then be assigned an SA? Thank you for clarifying!
