Hermes boutique at Riverside Square Mall - Open for business??

Hi,

Frankly, I do everything I can to avoid going to Garden State Plaza because it's a zoo. NM and Nordstrom, notwithstanding, the place is crawling with low-class riff-raff (present company excepted, of course. I apologize if this offends anyone). They've expanded the mall (and continue to do so) but not the parking facilities. I've seen people fight over parking spaces. It's horrendous. My mom was threatened by some nasty sh*thead with a club over a parking space and I refuse to go back there again. Ever.

I did wonder what, if any, GSP does about the parking situation with their ever growing expansion. I know they opened one of those super multi screen theatres there recently which would only add to the piling traffic. As for the class of the clientele, I dont really see a difference between GSP and Paramus Park, Riverside and any of the malls there. One of my friends loves to shop in Bergen and everytime she takes me with her, I just feel very self-conscious that I am the only person in the darn mall with a H bag.

I agree with everyone regarding the parking conditions at GSP...it was a zoo 2 Saturdays ago. I brought my wife there thinking that that is where the new Hermes boutique was (way wrong!)...anyway, after waiting for about 45 mins to park, 2 cars literally and actually stole the spot I've been waiting on! I just let it go...not worth the emotions plus I am not from the area...finally parked but only to find that we were at the wrong mall...still made it to the Hermes at Riverside but stood in front of the bag selections for about 10-15 mins but no one helped us so my wife and I just left. It was rather odd...I thought we were dressed in a presentable manner.

Madison have been very pleasant as far as showing us bags, scarves, etc. But we never seem to be there at the right time...never...ever! And we own a place in the city enough that one would think we should get lucky some day. NOT!! Even with few "small" yet pricey items...

Now, let's talk about Wall Street...nice people, nice selection, parking is a bear but hey...after 2 parking tickets, I've "wisened up" up to cough up $26 for the first hr...and is cheaper than a $125 ticket! Hah!

We are very please with everyone there...not only are the selections are good but the service and the wonderful SAs...beats the rest by a mile! Second perhaps would be in Tyson's Corner boutiques...KOP, SFO, LAS...in that order for us! I know it varies...what are other people's experiences...it wouldn't be fair to rate them right? Perhaps, pointless? But there could be a trend...hmmm???!!

Do you mean 26 cents an hour???? 26 DOLLARS FOR AN HOUR?! *thud*

:roflmfao: He definitely did not mean 26 cents, my dear. Welcome to New York City. A can of Diet Coke will set ya back two bucks, parking costs a mint, and don't even get us started on real estate costs, tipping doormen at the holidays, and how much a big bottle of Tide costs. :roflmfao:

That being said, back on topic: there is at least one very conveniently located garage near the Wall Street store and it's not too outrageously priced. Parking on the Upper East Side near Madison is a whole different animal--I paid $43 for an HOUR there not that long ago. :wtf: (I was driving an SUV which costs extra, but still) Now I wise up and park on the UWS at 65th & CPW when I can, then take the bus or a cab across the park.

$26 Dollars Is Nothing In NYC ~ Actually It's A Good Deal:yes:.....That's Why So Many Live Without Cars In The City & There's Not A Big Need.

So Many Of Our Friends Work On Wall St. & Sounding Areas.....No One Drives. If Your Going To H, Why Not Drive?!!!!;)

Hmmm...Cynthia...you got me thinking...let's start a reference section on parking scenarios in major cities when visiting H...plenty of resources on this forum to provide the inside scoop...

OMG -- seriously. It's so expensive that I take out $$ in installments so I don't have to carry all that cash around at once! But I have to say, I'm a city girl and it's totally worth it

There were three birkins today at the riverside store -

30 cm parchment togo with phw
30 cm orange with phw
30 cm ebene/cafe with ghw

the rough h birkin was bought by someone this morning. The store has a very good stock of birkins. Try out your luck, ladies!:smile1:
