Hello Varvara, thank you for sharing your bad experiences, although a lot of us don't live in Austria, it's still good to know these practices and hopefully more people know about it the more likely Hermes will do something! Just curious, how do you know if the store is a franchise or not. I really learn something new here every day, I can never imagine such highend brand will run franchise and jeopardize their own reputation, this is a very clear example!bagidiotic not all franchise stores are like this. Corruption w Hermés goods does exist at each and every store to a CERTAIN degree, but some, I still believe many stores, are much better than the Vienna store.
I have heard Salzburg is run by a very nice young gentleman, he goes far and beyond for his customers. My friend had called him after the "forgotten birkin order" fiasco and he had put her on his store's waiting list for the same bag immediately. I have bought some SLGs from that store as well in the past and he was a very reliable person to work with. He communicated well, shipped fast and even inquired after I received all. And this store too is a franchise...
With due respect, could you please share your thought why you don't think it is bad? Is it because you are a vvvvvvvip in your local store that you have received very good service and got honored your orders so you think other customers should not receive a little bit respect from a store?
I know this practice does exist everywhere, and it is a nice way to turn people away in the eyes of the store because they are not saying "no" upfront, but this is not necessarily true that your local stores (I believe we are in the same geographical location) practiced that. I have seen several people got the call from Hermes that the bag has arrived. Bear in mind, my friends did not shop with H before and they waited two or three years to get the birkin/Kelly.
Sorry, I am out of topic. Back to the topic raise by OP, i think you have done the right thing to point out the misbehavior of this store and let Hermes do something about it. What this store has been doing is damaging the brand because not all people know that it is a franchise store and they will form an impression that the brand itself has the problem instead of the store owner.

Thanks for your reply.
They have their reason to do so as in my local store, tonnes of mainlanders flood there and ask when can get a bag, if the SA answered dot know, sometimes, they can be treate rudely. I think they do so to protect themselves and prevent hundred of people asking when the waiting list open.
I always think in the way of those SA, maybe that's why I have very good relationship with them. I won't blame them for doing so, everything has a reason. No one particularly hide a bag from anyone, just they think some people are more worth having them.
Really? What makes some people "worthy" of purchasing an item and others less so? No, don't respond; I don't want to know.
