These stories about the birkin being available and then it's not and then it is is almost like a bait and switch con.

People have too much power when they can allocate consumer goods or supplies on a whim to whomever they choose. The "rules of the game" are not clear. Are there any rules? This is a sad story, Varvara.

eagle seems that NO rules at this store. And no respect for the client. And other things...

There are women who never shop there, not for one twilly, not for a CDC or scarf- nothing. But they have a new bag every two months....

I, personally, was offered bags purchased from this store recently. From people who knew I collect these bags. They were not the new colors, but good classics. When I met the sellers, I asked If they shopped at Hermés? they said - No. I asked how they got the bags? They said "They have their ways".

Bags were from the store with the hand written receipts. And authentic. No question about it.

Now, anyone explain this to me.

All these accounts are very troubling and putting the franchises in a very bad light indeed, and reflective of the company as a whole.

Bad business practice will surely lead to this stores' downfall -- and a manual payment and ordering system ??? This is not only inviting corruption but asking for failure.

Wow that is incredibly disturbing! And from what I know the only person with authority to sell the bags is the manager in question... On a side note how much premium were these people charging you?

This is why.

It seems to me as if the pre-ordered Birkins/Kellys go NOT to the original customer but to others why "maybe" pay a little bit extra to the store owner/SM.

I am sorry to hear about this. What nasty behaviour! By posting and making people aware you are taking a big step in the right direction. Complainin to HQ will probably make a difference. Good luck!

In the case of my Kelly it was offered to a customer that had spent a fair bit of money in the store. She was a tourist. still no excuses, that was my bag and the manager knew it- she spotted me out on the streets and literally beckoned me to go over and told
Me my bag had arrived when she saw me. I can't decide to be disappointed in my missing birkin orders or just really give up! Anyway this franchise store sucks- they pretty much don't get to order alot of new colours and it does get annoying after awhile- too much black and chocolate going on! I rarely see colours!

I am sorry you had such a nasty experience. People like this should not own a store nor be allowed to work in one.

Not true either.
I have met a woman from where I live, who doesn't shop there either, she was carrying a 35 Etain w Gold HDW just before (this past) christmas. It was the NEW color then, she had it. I asked how she got it? Same answer- her BF got it for he from the manager. She also said she had put her name down for another color (I cant remember which anymore) just 2 months ago and they had already called her her bag is there. in 2 months!!! and in 2 months after purchasing the newest color back then.

I remember when inquiring about a Crocodile (putting my name down on the list) I was told "...the quota is full"- and I was shopping the whole agenda there at that time. Then my SA told me, the manager simply refused to order / offer me any because according to the SM words "....I have too many already". Bags- not crocodile bags, to be exact. That was the last time I entered the store. And I changed stores.

The only one I feel sorry for is my SA who tried to help me as much as possible at those times, but she could not do anything. She often complained about the SM and said "....she can't give any bags out without the SMs approval/knowledge". She was many times very angry w the SM, because she was not able to reward her good clients.

Yes they do get new colours but not much pick! I see their order books and the new colours ordered are very few and far in between- I've seen the birkin orders for this season and the only new ones were ghillies , and for colours just bleu Lin, and ultraviolet...and maybe 1 bleu hydra. The rest were the usual black and browns. My croco form is still in their files
Miraculously. I dont know what they keep these forms for if they aren't ordering!

Very sad to hear vavara, especially when dedicated loyal customers are not being rewarded and lied to obviously.

now that we know how this store operates...this could also inadvertently lead folks who have the means and are desperate enough to lay their hands on a birkin to contact this store for a bag. Unfortunately.
 
In our local store, after they use a piece of paper to drop down your particulars for ordering a birkin, they will throw it into rubbish bin after clients left unless u r a regular customer and familiar with them. I don't think it is bad, though.
