Well shoot, I had heard their flagship store was closing, but I had no idea they were closing all stores and the website!

I hope you have a great time in Chicago! I've never been to Oakbrook one and never will because they will be closing all stores?? Or, to the NYC flagship store.. @halobear - I am jealous you could visit the main store... Ah - not fun.. and @LLC - I know their website nor email (I still get on everyday!) hasn't mentioned about closing anywhere.. why?
@girliegirl - they do a lot of discount and could disappoint you when you see the item you already bought on sale at a discounted price, so I mostly waited for discounts and sales. Having said that I also missed out a few items I was eyeing on.. like the petrol whislet.. and I never will have them. Stores are great because they would have items that are not available online anymore but it doesn't matter anymore...because they are all closing.. Here is what I have now - wow, mostly black... I had a couple of items with "color" and flower decorations but I gave them to my niece, now that I remember..

Just got an ad in the mail for a petrol Belmont tote but it's not on the website yet. I don't have a nearby store, is it possible to call and order with the 30% f&f?
Is it worth it to buy now with only 10% off and the splurge card, or will there be a better sale soon?
It depends. On...how much shopping you plan on doing.., you have to spend $200 to get the $100 off with the Splurge Card (you can use it on merch that is a % off, but, not in clearance) and only during a small window of November. If you want particular items now, apparently things are selling fast...because of their demise..so if you want to secure your stuff and are going to spend it anyway...
There are 2 bags I want so I was thinking of buying one now then hopefully using the $100 on the 2nd one later.
I typically only buy HB once or twice a year so I'm not very educated on their sales.

Hi, Harley77. I am also thinking about bags I want to purchase from Henri Bendel, before I forever lose the opportunity to get them. I recently ordered three of them (one which is on advanced order to ship out on 11/6 - the 712 Convertible Iridescent Shoulder Bag). As I just received two of them, I can say I was happily surprised by the very high quality apparent in their manufacture. I love the unique clasps on these that are not found on any other bags I have seen, and the fact that not everyone carries or even knows about HB bags. That said, you can sign up on the website for advanced sales notices. I think a sale of 30-60% will be coming soon, but I don't know exactly when it will be. I received a 10% discount on my first order, and a card for $100 off from 11/13 - 11/21 on a purchase over $200. I love the black Plaza haircalf top handle satchel and the Warren Street Chain Shoulder Bag in black monogram, the second of which is suddenly gone from the website, so I am very glad I ordered it when I did. I agree with Reba; if you really want something, order it now to ensure you will receive it. I really wanted/needed a couple of smaller bags for evenings out in black with silvertone hardware, as they are very hard to find in an attractive style at a reasonable price. Does anyone know if the $100 off $200 splurge cards can be combined when that sale starts? Like if I make a $600 purchase can I use 2 splurge cards on one order?
