I'm gonna chime in and give my unpopular opinion. Don't get me wrong, I love the nylon option and its ability to wear it 3 ways. Those two features are what I like about it. I suppose it's a cutsy take on the Birkin strappy buckle thing that everyone imitates. But in owning a Jetsetter, I discovered more cons and therefore had to pass the bag on to someone else.
CONS:
1) I don't like that lock. It's made of plastic and it absolutely cheapens the otherwise awesome bag! I know it's to cut costs/weight, but I wish it were all metal (silver or gold) to match the other hardware. They can make it slightly smaller if weight is an issue. (Maybe HB can redesign this? Then I'd jump on purchasing it again.) OR I wish it was removable all together.
2) The way the lock was previously attached, it did flip backwards and that, too, cheapened the look of the bag when worn. It just looks like a toy lock and I absolutely couldn't stand the plastic side showing all the time. I felt like I was carrying a child's bag. The redesigned versions (leather and newly released nylon colors) seem to have corrected the issue by turning the attachment vertically. This was pointed out by Reba here.
3) I'm generally not a fan of saffiano. The handles are upright (very stiff, plastic-like) at all times so it kind of gets in the way when wearing it crossbody and trying to reach inside. There is a snap for the handles that is not moveable, very uncomfortable for me when the bag is handheld. I'm sure the snap was included so the handles stay together in backpack-style, but I personally don't like dual upright handles when worn as a backpack because it hits the neck/back. Lastly, I don't like how the panels where the handles attach don't go across the full length of the bag. They will eventually "curl" because nylon is much softer. Again, taking away from its beauty. I'm very picky, I know.
As for the snaps for converting into a crossbody strap, a few have commented that it's uncomfortable on the shoulder because it doesn't lay smoothly/flat on the shoulder and you can feel like snaps. There is a saffiano piece that you fold/unfold so when it's brand new, it's quite stiff. But the snaps themselves are not flimsy, they don't come undone easily or anything.
I don't mean to be a Negative Nancy. This is a beloved bag and seems to hold its resale value the most, which speaks for its popularity. I do like it... just wish to tweak a few things then I'd buy it again since it's very versatile and great for rough daily/travel use.
