What a lovely ring!!! Gorgeous on you! Recently I've been intrigued by Sapphire, rings in particular, then found this thread. Also saw that some of you has some tie to Boston! Backbay resident here! Lovely to meet you all! Do you guys happen to know any good jewelers in Boston?
Hi @jellyfred I lived on Seaport for a couple years and now my daughter is at BU so we visit often. Backbay is lovely! Sorry no jewelers there to recommend but so glad you found the thread. This is my first collored stone and I am smitten!

And yes... it's absolutely true on the gem finding you. When I want a stone, I have this vision of what I want and go hunting. But then, there is always a stone that finds me without me even knowing I liked that shape/color/size.
Your rings is so beautiful! Love it! If you don't mind, how large is the sapphire (8cts?). I love the size, so nice and bold too! And the setting is just perfect... the ring pops. Are the side stones half-moons? I would love to see a side view of the setting... the setting is gorgeous too. Congratulations on your gorgeous ring!

@BigAkoya and @etoile de mer , thank you so much. The sapphire is 6 ct ... my finger is pretty small, size 4.5 so it may look bigger. The side stones are oval rose cuts... not everyone’s favorite cut but I love the vintage vibe they give off. I have a Tiffany cobblestone eternity band that I wear on my right hand and the rings really complement each other. Thanks so much for sharing my excitement! Lately I’m way more excited about jewelry vs handbags. The blasphemy!!

A sapphire was my first colored gemstone, and after that... I love colored gemstones, more so than diamonds. Colored gemstones just pop as the sapphire pops on your hand! I think you need an emerald next!
